Mmm my American friend educated me about this; it was a later amendment to the original wasn’t it? No mention of God initially.

Absolutely true! I cannot understand how, with the glaring examples of intertwined religion & state, and their horrible abuses, anyone can think it is a good idea! But, nooooooooo........lotta control freaks out there
