What's the most helpful book you've read as an adult? For me, it's Judith Viorst's, "Necessary Losses", in which she catalogs the losses most of us experience as we go through life, but counters that rather depressing information with how those very losses also force us to grow as human beings and how we continue to grow right up to the end. I keep a copy of this book on my Kindle and re-read it frequently. I've gotten more of a practical nature from Miss Viorst's writings than I have from almost any other author's works. What book has profoundly impacted your life in a good way? Please don't tell me it's the Bible!
I have a friend, 74, who just lost her 42-year old son to suicide. She is having a terrible time. Do you think I should recommend this book to her
@Winkiedink54 thanks, I will!
