love is so dangerous, and the insurance is really hard to get.
Isn't marriage, "insurance for the lazy one in a relationship?" It's called alimony plus 50% of assets? So why not dating?
Actually, I think you're on to something here. Dating insurance. Given all the money I've spent over the years it would be nice to get some back. Think about it, you pay a premium and at the end of the year or at some other point, you turn in your receipts and you get reimbursed if your relationship did not work out. There is certainly no insurance for the heart but doesn't mean there can't be for the wallet. There also would be no shortage of business. For those who say it's too pessimistic, it's no different than auto insurance or home insurance, you're not accused of being pessimistic because you have those. Hmmmm
Yeah yeah proving the relationship didn't work would be difficult and of course there's fraud but there's fraud in everything and there are still retail stores but people steal from them so it's no different than any other business.
given that most relationships don't work out, and insurance companies have to "win" a certain amount of the time, Im seeing a huge disappointment here
@MarkiusMahamius hey give me a break I just started this company. many people won't turn in the receipts and it depends on what the premiums are
@lerlo like relationships, most businesses fail...
@MarkiusMahamius we just need additional revenue income sources like relationship counseling and maybe our own dating site. The idea is about an hour old, just will take some work.
@MarkiusMahamius maybe everyone pays the premium but you only pay off on the relationships that don't last more than six or eight months. Those the heartbroken ones who should get something back.
@lerlo thats true... feed people the idea that if they try harder (as signified by them paying you money), they have a better chance of "finding the one" and "making it work". this is a better idea than the diet industry and the pro sports industry, in one. good job.
@MarkiusMahamius well that's what all the paid dating sites are. Match gives you a guarantee, at least it does for men, that if you don't find somebody in the first 6 months the next 6 months are free. Add insurance to the mix and who wouldn't want it?
@MarkiusMahamius ha, based on how this site is run I'm not afraid
@lerlo Can I get in on the IPO?
Dangerous? Being in love is the safest I've ever been.
feeling safe, or less of a threat to others?
@MarkiusMahamius yup
