I'M LOOKING FOR LOVE & PROBABLY MARRIAGE!
The good news is that I have tons of great qualities, for example - I'm honest, reliable, responsible, romantic and totally faithful. The bad news is that I don't fly in planes or anything else, so, I'm not going to Africa or China, but will take short cruises! More good news -I am open to relocating (depending on where - I live near the beach now) and I welcome all races, ethnic groups, and ages - it's all about the chemistry! About my pictures,I can be clean shaven or not, whichever she prefers!
More info on my profile with many pictures. Any takers? (female only, thank you! ha,ha)
Hope to hear from the love of my life! (or maybe someone that you know - if I'm not for you - do you have a friend?)
Thanks for taking the time to read!
Dave
Let us know if you get any takers, and good luck.
Thanks for the good wishes!
Dave
Have you considered joining the Catholic church? That's full of desperate women!
Ha! Believe me, if I weren't an atheist, I WOULD! ha,ha!

Hope your lightning strikes soon @FUNandFAITHFUL. What a wonderful experience it is to travel through life with someone that causes you to sing with rapture, someone you cannot stand to be without and someone who makes you a better person. The very best of luck to you!
You are a very lucky couple!
Thanks for your encouraging comment!
Dave
If something seems too good to be true: it is.
I, on the other hand am no damned good. I cannot think of one good quality.
if you're referring to ME as ''too good to be true''...... Everything about me
is true and genuine. Women tell me that the worst thing is that i DON'T FLY..
Dave
ha,ha! Well, i'm sure that other people can! ha!
Dave
Find it in you and you will attract what you seek . Make sure you are looking for qualities in a woman that make you want to be around them even if it was a dude . Most times we are selfish in our love . Lots of good women out here , if you are legit you will find her .
A few words of advice about this site re: dating
Perfect response... I was thinking the same but summarized with "good luck! "
@Cutiebeauty Thanks - sometimes a heads up can help folks figure this place out ...
Thank you for the comments!
Dave
By just about all of the comments have been very pleasant, a many "good luck".
dave
@Cutiebeauty Sure you were.
best answer here....
Good luck.
Thank you!
Do you happen to know any one who might fit?
Dave
@FUNandFAITHFUL I'm too far away.
Nothing wrong with advertising, just don't take advice from the chronically single/ serial daters.
What the heck is a "GOOD GUY with a little bad boy thrown in!"? Scary. You sound like an adolescent jokester.
Drop all-caps and exclamation marks. This appears frenzied, like you are shouting.
Your pictures are too blurry. With online dating, you have 3 seconds to make a good impression. If your photos are not clear, bright and attractive, women move on.
Your main photo should be a head-and-shoulder shot, showing you smiling and looking at the camera. You also need one full body shot, again taken outdoors and smiling.
Your profile is an advertisement to help you meet the kind of woman you want to date. The best profiles are well written, upbeat and interesting, with a dash of humor. Your first paragraph should be short and upbeat, and say something positive about you.
Internet dating is a written, visual medium. Correct spelling and grammar are important because it shows you care about details. Write in short paragraphs. Nobody wants to read a wall of words.
Describe your best characteristics and strengths, activities you enjoy, and what you are looking for in a relationship. Talk a little about the type of woman you want to meet using personality traits.
Avoid anything negative. Nobody wants to date a negative person.
Describe activities you enjoy and would enjoy doing with a woman.
WOW! Thanks! Actually, that is essentially a short version of my bio! Do you teach English composition?
Dave
So... I guess you're not interested in this guy?
No, He lives in Florida.
I'm dating an expert rock climber who lives near me.
@LiterateHiker a very nice looking man..
Describe activities you enjoy and would enjoy doing with a woman.
Plz no. Thats what messaging is for. Even if its just to discuss trips to the museum or something.
Before meeting, I want to know if a man shares my love of hiking, jazz and mountains. The man I am dating wrote in his profile:
"My passions in life are the mountains, music, and my kids.
"The kids are grown and out of the house but they are my best friends and always in my thoughts. Oh, and they are twin boys.
"I have been a climber and skier for most of my life. Mostly rock climb and mountain climb. Also enjoy skiing at Crystal Mountain. But I really enjoy climbing trips to Canada, Europe, and around the western United States. Probably not everyone's dream vacation but the views are always excellent.
"Also like to hang out and play guitars and listen to music, mostly blues, jazz, and whatever else that swings. Dig cooking at home, usually accompanied with an IPA or red wine. For entertainment, I like to catch live music at places like The Highway 99 blues club, Jazz Alley, The Wild Buffalo, or the Edison Inn to name a few. I still occasionally play guitar in a band that I have been with for a while.
"I do work and have a position with an engineering company. My work usually involves going to places all over the state, mostly to construction sites.
"My life is a little off the beaten path but I try not to take myself too seriously, be kind, honest, and true to myself."
Dave is extremely fit. What a body!
He is kind, thoughtful, funny and steady. Dave also loves jazz, plays blues guitar, is a Democrat and atheist. Yay!
@LiterateHiker as i said, thats what messaging is for. Do you think he owes you something because of your staus as a woman?
@LiterateHiker you lucky lady! If he's a good cook, you got the whole package
Dave is a healthy, good cook.
@LiterateHiker that's terrific! I am too.. I made a big pot of veggie soup / stew yesterday ...
I used...
Tomatoes
Potatoes
Celery
Sweet onions
Garlic
Green peppers
Carrots
Eggplant
Cayenne pepper
It was so good yesterday but it'll be even better today!
What's the top two healthy meals he cooks for you two?
@MarkiusMahamius I think it is Literate Hikers choice to do it whatever way she wants as it is yours to do it your way
BTW it definitely looks like her way scored a great match for her. It's very hard for most people to argue with success.
@Lorajay she has just as much right to offer advice, useless or not, as i do. That is true. Also, as felliw community members we both have a right to comment on eachothers posts.
For dinner, Dave stir-fried Yakisoba noodles with broccoli, celery, cabbage, sweet red peppers, onion, carrots and a little bit of roast beef from a Korean market in Seattle. I chopped the vegetables.
Also, Dave made a homemade sauce. It was delicious.
@LiterateHiker that stir fry sounds great! I'll do that really soon... Frankie loves beef.. But I'm really interested in that sauce Dave makes... Any details? I love to make sauces of all types... Sauce is life as long as its healthy...
@LiterateHiker, @Lorajay, @MarkiusMahamius. You can't argue with success...
I'm not sure of the ingredients. Dave loves hot chili sauce. He grows and roasts different chilis and makes hot chili sauces.
I can't tolerate hot, spicy food. So Dave kindly served me first without the hot chili sauce. The Korean beef had a little spice. That was fine.
@LiterateHiker hot chilli sauce! Please ask him what he uses.. I love hot and spicy! My Frankie doesn't, so I cut back , but I'm a spicy girl!
@LiterateHiker Did he fall for you when you first met him?
Who knows? Dave and I met for dinner at a Vietnamese Restaurant we both like, then went for a walk on the riverfront.
In late August, it was 100 degrees. After dinner, I suggested we walk down to the dock and soak our feet in the cold Columbia River. Talked and laughed until dark. I keep a LED carabiner flashlight on every purse. Handy.
Before parting, we agreed to see each other again. On our next date, Dave took me to dinner to celebrate my birthday on Sept. 3. That was sweet.
@LiterateHiker That's really sweet, I hope love blossoms for you! I used to be a rock-climber in my younger days and the "fall for you" was a bit of a gag! Lovely reply though, thanks!
You're welcome. I'm a published author. As a marketing director, I won three national awards for creative marketing. I know how to sell.
Since 2006, I have been a volunteer college mentor at the high school. I help minority, first generation students write essays for college and scholarship applications. With their essays, students need to sell themselves to scholarship committees, to touch their heartstrings.
One of my best success stories is Brenda, who won $269,455 in scholarships and grants in 2016.
Why don't your read my profile and look at my photos? Notice I cleaned up the background before taking photos. A messy background is distracting and makes you look sloppy.
"Of all the reasons that a woman wouldn't want a particular guy - he's a heavy drinker, a druggie, a gambler, abuses women, in debt, bad hygiene, unreliable, been bankrupt, in jail, for a one-nighter, or in general - a BUM... "
Delete. Instead of making a positive first impression, it prompts women to think negatively about men.
