You easily fooled people, here is why Greta Thunberg’s sailing won’t help the climate at all.

[google.com]

Weak, we are forced to use some carbon emission its surrounding us everywhere.
We fail if we don't try.

@Castlepaloma Other than not having just clean air and water around us, nothing we will do... will help to save the planet. Don't buy everything they tell you. This is oversold to us.

None of this says that climate change isn't happening. What can we do living as Neanderthal. It takes a diesel truck to deliver the windmill blades. But if, added together, carbon emissions are reduced, we are making headway.

I will never give up, life depends on it.

I'm so glad I'm not a Christian...

Because it appears that God has created some preTTy stupid people.

@powder

It's absolutely crazy. I bet it felt good to say that! And, you live to tell the story. 🙂

In his image?

To Christian Pastor...”.stick to reading your biblical fairy-tales and leave the serious grown-up science to Greta!”

9

Greta is a great young woman! Martin Luther King would be proud!

Whaaat?

8

First tRump ridicules Greta then his religious bum-buddy has a go at her, WTF is wrong with these dim-wits?
Personally, I reckon Greta Thunberg is absolutely Brilliant.

7

She seems too intelligent to believe in poorly written fiction

7

After JFK speech, Greta had the most important and passionate speech I have ever heard in my life. Even though I have dedicated my pass 15 years doing everything I can helping the natural environment. She made me feel deeply disappointed in my boomers generation.

The more guilty ones come back at her with very lame response. They would need to have a good degree of truth to be insulting.

Jeffress is an idiot.

AND, that is one of HIS good points I presume....LOL.

6

Fuck the "christian pastor".

LOL, NOT on your life, you'd never know where they've been.

@Triphid I'm so sorry, sweetie. I meant to say, fuck him with a
Saguaro cactus. Or a pineapple. Or a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire.
Whichever is handy.

I wouldn't dream of encouraging anyone to actually touch one of
them. They're nasty.

@KKGator That's okay Babe, no need to apologise, though I do think using a pineapple, etc, would be far too enjoyable for scumbags like him.
Maybe clamping his lying, deceiving tongue in a vice, welding it shut and giving him a butter knife with NO edge on it to cut himself free with might come close to a fitting punishment.

@Triphid I'm pretty sure he wouldn't enjoy anything I'd like to see happen to him.

😉

@KKGator I too often imagine 'suitable' punishments for scumbags like him.

@KKGator You are very angry about men.

Fucking a man with a Saguaro cactus will kill him and that is a deliberate manslaughter. No man really deserves it. We even give a tolerable mix of 3 drug lethal injection or IV in executions.

@St-Sinner No. I'm really not. Just assholes.

Btw, it's never a good idea to try to psychoanalyze someone you don't know.
You don't know me. Keep your armchair analysis to yourself.
It's completely wrong.

I can add to a post, too.

No shit that fucking a man with a cactus will kill him.
45 deserves it. So does Pence.

I also didn't threaten to do it.
It's just a sincere wish.
We're done here.

Greta is so awesome !!! Look what she started with the kids !! Millions marching !!

If the crisis is "imaginary" then why is everyone concerned about it? This is the first question to ask. Research will show that a majority of those claiming it is imaginary have climbed onto the bandwagon of the Koch brothers, et al. Some of them are in government and some not, but most have received money for their viewpoint.

The goal is to be able to rape the earth in any way possible for profit with no concern for people, their futures, healthcare, food, well being and so forth. In the end they want no regulations on anything and will take America back to 1900 if possible, and all in the name of profits.

This is what's going on right now. Trump is only the tumor of the cancer. He is part of the cancer but not the cancer itself.

5

Faux non-news and tRump is as far as one needs to go. What he is really saying is that he's not going to relinquish control to someone else.

I like to see how Trump will insult Greta's character like the reporter with the handicap.

Or bow his head in shame.

To the christian pastor: I went to a Lutheran college where I took 5 religion classes and while doing that I read the bible from beginning to end twice. I was then involved in a church where I taught a couple bible study classes. I then did a third reading of the bible from beginning to end and while doing that was rereading college notes and additional things on that horrendous book. So, that is what ended my belief.

4

When a soccer player makes a goal they say "God helped me make that goal" but when they lose the match, they don't mention him at all.

-Taken from George Carlins' Comedic Specials (not the same words he uses but means the same)

In this context God feels like the dude who was never there in the project (and also literally) and got the entire credit!

4

What a cretin, read a story written and made up at least several centuries ago to solve a current existencial crisis, brilliant.

4

Somehow god never gets blamed for what's happening to the planet and the ever hopeful belief in miracles stands tall. That should be enough to sway belief in many, yet?

4

This looks like a case of the pot calling the kettle imaginary!

dkp93 Level 8 Sep 25, 2019

The Evangelicals are part of the group fooled by "the chosen one."

4

Remember the prophecy: There will be war, rumors of war and bogus concerns about climate change.

MrDMC Level 7 Sep 24, 2019

Our two Christian like prophecy would do well together as an atheist prayer. Lol.

3

I can hear Greta. When will Gwad say something?

3

"imaginary crisis" eh ?
If we don't start turnin' this ship around, his imaginary god will not be able to help him !

Let's bow our heads now in prayer.

Oh imaginary God, why do we Christians Fuck up this natural planet most.

2

Frankly, the pastor needs to stop worrying about his imaginary friend and no doubt, believes that women / girls don’t have enough intelligence to understand science.

CS60 Level 7 Sep 25, 2019

Jeffries has no intelligence or morality.

2

Get science!

2

what a total fuckwit!

2

I so wanna say this on FB, but conservative evangelical Christians can be real idiots. They have no idea what the difference between their beliefs and objective facts. Saying you don't believe something isn't an effective dismissal.

Unless it's the fundies saying they don't believe in climate science.

@Notlost, well yeah. That's my point. Belief is irrelevant when it comes to evaluating a truth claim. Belief is the result of your opinion on a truth claim.

2

My dad's claiming she has a "terrible, terrible brain disease", because Fox News told him so. That's why, so Laura Ingraham says, this crazy child believes in climate change.

(FYI, apparently she has Aspergers, which is not a terrible, terrible brain disease, and not characterized by insanity.)

It's funny how Asperger's is being used a ground to outright dismiss her opinions. Lack of education, sensitiveness and of course independent thinking capabilities.
