Sorry, I just can't HEPP it. In my highly opinionated viewpoint, people who don't use punctuation aren't fully civilized.
I find lack of punctuation to be a hallmark or muddled thinking. You can see it on here sometimes, it is sad/scary.
YES! Smatter of fact, I like to do both. (In the appropriate circumstances)
Poor grammar and spelling show lack of education, caring or attention to detail.
Today a man wrote "didding" instead of "digging" in his post. "What is 'didding'?" I asked. He replied it was a typo, but did not correct his mistake. Why not? That puzzles me.
Don't people see the red line under misspelled words? Automatic spell-check makes it easy to correct mistakes.
Actually, I noticed that he did correct that mistake.
Good.
And then there is the dyslexic. So it isn't always about lack of education, caring or attention. Sometimes it really is not seen. I try really hard but it isn't easy to always get it right.
In that case, they can see the red lined misspelled words.
@LiterateHiker sadly on my very old computer I do not always get one and especially on this site. I am constantly checking spelling for flipped letters. As to properly placed ,s, ;s (semicolon also doubles as an emoji (LOL), , etc. all I can do keep trying and hoping be excused when trying.
Jeffery Dahmer wrote it so the commas were not required.
Yikes.
It’s hard not to look down on people who use bad grammar and punctuation. They must not have had good English teachers in high school. Either that or they were too sexed up to pay attention.
I can understand the problems caused by a teenage hormone crisis. However, that buys only a few years of grace time. Going forward, there's plenty of time to learn grammar and punctuation.
I look down on them because it is Very easy to find help with such things & they cannot be bothered!
