Here is a straight forward summary of how American finances REALLY work not the mythology that most believe. The slide show is worth the time. [jdalt.com]
There are a lot of ideas being bandied about how the government can simply print more money anytime it is "needed". Tell that to the Weimar Republic, where a wheelbarrow literally full of money was needed to purchase a single loaf of bread, and it (incredible devaluation of currency)became a significant factor in Hitler's rise.
@ToolGuy because the theory was, just print more money to cover the inflation. And the crushing reoarations.. Duuuh
@ToolGuy ummm, so you are saying those adpix of people with bags & wheelbarrows full of useless paper money came Earlier? The Weimar Republic just happened to print enough paper to carpet & wallpaper the entire country & inflation was a coincidence? Or, there was inflation and they printed lots of paper to make it go away? ???????????
@ToolGuy "where is the inflation" ??? In 1974 I bought a brand-new car on a salary of $3.28/hour, as a single mother. And had steak once a week. You see anybody/anything even remotely like that now?
