I do lots of profile visits, 99% of them because the profiles menu is right where I rest the mouse, and I click accidentally, then someones rubbish that I don't want pops up and gets in the way.

I am not a believer in the theory that the government is going to start watching you theory, but if this was China, then yes. On the other hand, I have knowledge of the extent the government spied on folks who barely did anti-war organizing in the 70s against the Vietnam war. Way more surveilence than the danger these folks posed to society. So if you start to see folks trailing you, then you might just think twice before posting thins like that.
