Lindsey Graham demands GOP Senators sign letter in support of Trump because impeachment is about to destroy this nation.- WTF!!!! If Trump isn't impeached and removed from office the US will implode!!!! Agree/Disagree?
Too bad McCain isn't here to remind them of their duty. This is how it works in communists countries but that's okay as at least it's not 'socialism.' So if they don't toe the line are they going to be fired???
Lindsey demands eh? Well isn't that special. I wish he and his cohorts would care as much for the Country and the Constitution as they seem to for trump!
ha ha ha ha - the maniacs and gun-nuts will explode, but that's what happens when you let and infection go untreated for 3 years.
Trump has something really bad he is hanging over Lindsey and Mitchβs heads to get them to do his bidding. Hope that comes out in the wash too!
I agree with you-master of blackmail.
Barr also I think.
@silverotter11 no, I think Barr is just a fan boy. The Senators were very outspoken critics of Trump when he first started running. Now all of a sudden they canβt suck up the shit he spews fast enough.
@Barnie2years Spot on there my friend. Barr may just be a fan, for me the jury's still out.
Graham reminds me of nothing so much as a slimed up garden snail squirming slithering out of his cankerous grotesque shell on a cold and wet winters morn to greet the day with dribblesome slobbering mouth full of obsequious viscid verbiage
All I have to do is see graham in past video's about clinton, Obama and trump where he is 180 from this letter he wants signed and I realize the short term memory loss Americans suffer from is more serious than ever and there is no dementia ward to house them.
Lindsey Graham is a 2-faced mealymouth Owned by drumpy.
Defeat him at the voting booth.
Trying to remove him instead of winning the next election just looks like the Democrats are afraid that they can't win in an election.
If I see this without it being shoved in my face, others are seeing it too.
I do not want 2 more years of the OrangeIdiot! Okay, edited...20 minutes!
I guess you would let a bank robber get away with robbing the bank because if he was stopped and arrested you might not be able to deposit your paycheck while the police were arresting him. Letting someone get away with flaunting the rule of law and denying the Constitutional right of the House to investigate it sets a most horrible precedent.
@AnneWimsey I can't give you another. So take this...
@Barnie2years if I knew in advance that the bank robber had the judge and jury in their pocket and would not only get off scott free but be rewarded after it was all over.
There comes a time when reality overrides emotion.
@moosepucky, this has nothing to do with emotions and everything to do with rule of law. Trump has broken it, overtly and with disdain. The more corruption the House exposes, the more moderate Republicans will turn on him. The Democratic Party needs to stand behind what is right and follow the law. If we donβt, we are no better than the pathetic criminals of the Republican Party. The Senate must have a trial if the impeachment process is voted positive in the House! If it distracts the Democratic Party presidential race, imagine what it will do to the Republicans! Trump will not likely be impeached, but once out of office he will be ripe for criminal prosecution. Since when does doing the right thing, regardless of fear, become a negative?
When?.... When it gives someone like Trump another term with a majority in both houses to do his bidding.
@moosepucky, so in your mind Trump was right when he said he could shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and no one would care? Because we fear his base more than we fear having a criminal in the office of President? Because we should wait another year and hope we can find a candidate that can overcome all the shit he will throw at them with whatever countries he can get to help him out, because, what the heck, there are no consequences. Thankfully a majority of House Democrats are not in fear of doing their job: upholding the Constitutional separation of powers and oversight.
No.
The risk is not worth the reward.
This impeachment rght before an election has 2 ways to fall. I
Left alone, trump will shove his foot so far down his mouth that I would be amazed if he received even 1 electoral vote.
Give him and his minions a "crusade" and it might be a landslide in the other direction.
In my opinion,
The risk: getting articles of impeachmented from the house and acquittal by the senate. This is even not a risk, it is a forgone conclusion. This will only make the whole process seem nothing more than a political move to influence the next election. This is the worst thing that could happen.
The reward: I don't even see one. Republicans control the senate. When push comes to shove no Republican senators will vote to convict. Score: Republicans 53. Democrats 47. Votes needed to remove: 67. Which 14 Republicans will vote against the leader of their party?
I do not like this but this is how I see it.
what makes you think he would abide by the results of an election?
@BitFlipper Maybe we will get hit by planetary debris and be vaporized. Solves the trump problem eh?
