This is just a question, not a moral observation or anything else, just a question that maybe the wisest of us could answer.
If during the act of rape the victim becomes pregnant and chooses to abort the pregnancy would it not be an equal solution that rapist should also be aborted?

If the pregnancy is not terminated, Should the rapist be given a fresh nappy and tucked in for a nap?

NOT A MORAL OBSERVATION "" This is just a question, not a moral observation or anything else, just a question that maybe the wisest of us could answer."" HE sounds to me like he was just opening a discussion, not dissecting it logically. It doesn't appear to have worked.

I cannot see that this makes logical or ethical sense.

You don't have cable do you? 🙂

Are you advocating capital punishment for rapists?
If so why not just say it?

2

WTF are you saying? "Abortion" only applies to fetus material.

What the hell are you talking about? It's an issue only if the victim became pregnant? So rape is not so bad if she isn't pregnant? What's the actual point of pregnancy in this post?

I think not. Every situation is different.

Some states used to impose death for rape, but the punishment was not dealt fairly. It’s just too extreme.

@NoPlanetB How do you know with such certainty that I’ve never been raped?

Only if you go by an eye for an eye. Most of the Western world is doing away with the death penalty. I think we should have the death penalty but to allow the victim of the rape to determine if the rapist dies is a bit extreme and takes sentencing out of the hands of the court. If because of the negligence of a company a worker loses and arm or a leg would it not be an equal solution for the CEO of that company to also lose an arm or a leg, if the worker chooses that instead of a cash settlement?

By the way it's technically the rape victim choosing to abort the fetus (in the strict sense of the act) not the rapist.
