Yes possibility you could create your own city and by laws but unfortuneatly one would still have to conform to Provinicial and Federal laws and regulations , It could be off the grid green community hopefully full self sufficent for energy thru solar and wind and ? as well as produce etc ,could grow ones own meat but slaughter house would have to meet provincial regulations and health care could be in house to a point,One of the big things that i think that could be done is that all the citizens have equal responsibility for keeping the community in pristine shape and helping ones neigbours with projects etc So much to think about .
Happy to find people share the same gutsy open mindedness
Or alternatively get some advice from an Amish commune. They have it cracked
I sure the christians will sue and say our city infringes on their religious freedom and win in court.
There is a village in West Africa was created as reaction to the religious wars between Christians and muslims and corrupt system that caused Injustice in the divided country a guy decided I'm done with this bullshit about40 years ago he created avillage does not let religion or money in no differences or inequality everybody works themselves money is only used for the outside interactions for trade.
Even the most religious people left them alone despite if their disapproval.
These people must've done something that they were able to push away religious contamination.. let's learn more about this instead of putting the problems in the solutions
and they'd be right, although they ignore their own awareness of that and make resort communities that only rent or sell to christians.

i have always wanted to create my own city but i am very sure i would not limit residence by religion or lack thereof any more than i would by skin color or height. i would want to ban proselytizing but why would it be a municipal matter who believed in what on their own time?

Starting to sound like a cult compound lol
A bit like how Osho got his guys together!
Thatβs great. Youβve just got to vote in your leaders after that.
Not clear what this meant
@Neenz it means you will most definitely have the exact same problems you have now, but on '"squabble" level. Where are all the communes from the 70's? Why not look it all up, or ask some former members? Reinventing the wheel is just silly, especially when that "wheel "was not actually viable.
@AnneWimsey Thanks for getting it, Anne
@AnneWimsey, @Geoffrey51
How about let's figure the solution first them we tackle the problems as they go using the same logical methods would it be easier than putting problems to offered solutions and keep the current problems leading to distribution persist
@Neenz of course. Best to set up the communities, but one canβt go in blindly. Be aware that there will be dominant and submissive characters, there will be radicals, there will be dissenters. It is the dynamic of group theory.
You need a mechanism to address these situations in order to maintain a functional society which is usually by power and control by authority. If you find another solution, that would be the Holy Grail of sociological theory.
Itβs important to be aware of these factors so that you can plan accordingly rather than hoping that 150 people will play together nicely.
Pipe dream or reality?
It used to be called a commune?
Or how individuals lived too together up till the twentieth century!!!
Not a bad idea i guess... to live in without damaging pollution and corruption is not a bad idea at all... the difference we have more knowledge and awareness
