This afternoon ought to be interesting a Byzantine Catholic church near me is having a homemade food products sale which I intend to stop by and see what they have, being my car is covered with humanist stickers it might prove interesting. Wish me well please.
Are you kidding? Nobody pays attention anymore. I hope you found wonderful pastries!
Next week.
I’m sure there will be plenty of delicious things to sample. I shouldn’t think that having humanist stickers on your car will make any difference to you buying food from this church sale. In any case unless it’s in the car park who’s going to notice them?
yes there were lots of goodies I ended up buying some kielbasy I'll find out how it tastes tomorrow morning when it's done.
Your car is in the parking lot. How about wearing a Humanist button?
I don't have one.
Be careful if you eat their food you might get food poisoning. A while back I attended a covered dish function and foolishly sampled a lot of the food....I spent the next two days vomiting and sitting on the toilet.
@Allamanda Really?
I made no racial or ethnic comments. I didn't think them either.
You are making assumptions that have no basis in fact.
You jumped to really wrong conclusions.
@nicknotes didn't say anything like that either. He said a "covered dish function".
You jumped to conclusions, all by yourself.
@Allamanda JFC! Eating ANY food you haven't made yourself should give people pause. Get food poisoning, even once, and you will remember it every time you put something in your mouth.
You are being overly-sensitive. You made assumptions. You made accusations.
ALL he or I did was suggest using caution.
Neither of us made pejorative or xenophobic remarks.
YOU jumped to unfounded and wrong conclusions.
It was a warning. Perhaps people bring a covered dish to an event and it sits in their hot car, then sits unrefrigerated on a table , bacteria thrive and people get sick. Then again...there are people who intentionally try to harm others. If you don't know who cooked it and when, maybe it is better to abstain. @Allamanda
I wish you well. And who knows? Maybe your stickers will cause someone to start thinking. You may be planting seeds that will grow and liberate people from the shackles of religion.
One never knows
There is one local to me that does a Greek food festival every year its pretty good, non denominational, community oriented rather than overtly religious so I had no problem with it. And gyros.
I had one near me in Pennsylvania, but Polish. So perogies.
Good luck.
Hope you don't buy anything that gives you food poisoning.
Yeah I hear that, they've been doing it for years just my first opportunity to stop.
