I was minding my business shopping at Walmart with my mom and this heavy woman came up to my mom and said, I just want you to know your blessed and Jesus loves you. and then she handed her a booklet about being saved and shit. I swear you canβt even shop at the store without somebody rubbing the word of god in your face.
I had an older man hand me a fake twenty dollar bill with a religious message on it in the post office one day. I went to my mailbox, checked it and threw the tract away on my way out.
I came across him as we were both heading out the door and he asked if I threw it away. I said "yes, I did." He proceeded to tell me, as we went out the door, that I was in danger of going to hell.
I said "there is no hell." He said, "yes there is." By this time it was raised, not yelling, voices as our vehicles we were in different locations. My last words, calling across the small lot, before getting in my vehicle were "no there isn't!"
I have typically been one to just keep my opinion to myself; but, no longer. If someone confronts me with their nonsense, I will speak up.
Same thing happened to me and my family was starving at the time
Oh man ! That happend to me in 1997 at grocery store in San Angelo Texas . It was an older / blue hair grandma , and I was getting eggs in my shopping cart .
I was young , fresh from Europe , and w an attitude of " no flies on my sword " I had time and energy and I was a prick
I took the paper , got both index fingers on top of my head , tongue and teeth out and start hissing
And I did my deep voice at the end " the power of Christ compels u , the power of Christ compels u "
Man , it was great !! I was good !!!
On now days I just take the papers ( I haven't encounter much lately thou , then again , I don't go out much !), and I say " thanks ". Two dogs in the house . Pooper scooper material
At least she didnβt ask for a contribution!
