Democratic freedoms aside, many nations in the world but particularly the U.S., Britain and China have interests to protect in Hong Kong, writes Mary Beaudoin.
{Hong Kong’s special status enabled it to become a leading financial center and tax haven for international corporations. Its free market is so free from regulation and accountability that the conservative American think tank, the Heritage Foundation, has consistently ranked the city as No. 1 in its Index of Economic Freedom.
Hong Kong’s particular legal characteristics have not only enabled China to rise as an economic power and shelter foreign corporations from taxes and tariffs but they have also allowed an individual to get away with murder. That’s because Hong Kong lacks an extradition treaty for those who commit crimes in Taiwan and China.}
In other words. It's an arm of the The Little City of London. AKA Little Britain. [sinhalanet.net]
{Back in the U.S., the House of Representatives passed additional legislation based on the “responsibility to protect,” the humanitarian interventionist policy used to defend people in foreign countries from their own governments on the premise that they need to be protected and the U.S. should do it.}
In other words. Our government is expected to give itself the right to become world police. {As of this writing, the Hong Kong bills are expected to pass in the Senate.} Have no doubt, Trump will sign the bill in favor of. Not that we need this legislature to be such. Being our government has been doing this illegally for at least a century. In which many a presidents should have been impeached over while committing various other crimes while in the process of. I might add also, this is a measure going against the Constitution, interfering in foreign nation affairs. Again, not that our politicians abide by the Constitution, right down to those hypocrites that wrote it.
You might find the article I planted within above provides the reasoning of such a comment I made. We don't have a government governing us, it's more like a corporation you work for. In our case, many corporations! When you start to realize you're working for a corporation rather than having a properly functioned government working for you, you can start separating yourselves from the delusional reality they've created for us.
{NOTE: Since this writing there is no longer access to Dimsum Daily through Google. The search engine is reported blocking sites critical of the Hong Kong protests.}
Imagine that! The truth shall be not allowed!
A new year advances towards us. Maybe you're new to dissenting views of the world empire building. Maybe you're already there with us and looking for better news sources. Tired of the fake news of main stream media? Feeling like you're living in a delusional reality, their reality of conditioning from their perception management. . . . from the sub-title : Democratic freedoms aside
I see no reason why those freedoms should/need be set-aside :
There is no freedom when there is violence
When you're only free due to constrained participation and compliance to criminality around you, where in is the democracy?
Did you perhaps miss the 2016 elections where all sense of democracy was strangled by both establishment parties and the main stream media? Where the DNC openly admitted in court ,via their lawyers, they have the right to chose their chosen candidate. As they spearheaded a fraudulent primary with the help of the media to quell Sanders campaign. Miss the circus of 27 participants within the republican party primary in which the media at the behest of the DNC and Clinton to propel Trump to the front. The degree of voter purging and oppression of independent voters, uncounted ballets, horrific confusion at caucuses filled with corruption.
This is the same system that is working in Hong Kong supporting and funding those protest. A mix of both top republican and democrat politicians, US intelligence, the Trump administration, a number of NGO's (non government organizations) who have a history of spreading freedom and democracy. Ask the world how well that usually works out. Since WWII, not so well.
As I attempted to communicate in the initial post, Hong Kong is not what the world establishment and deep state have conditioned the world into believing it is. It's essentially 427 square miles of corporate corruption that went from 3,000 inhabitants scattered in a dozen fishing villages to 7,460,918 since the British took it over. The last thing these people are planning to install there would be freedom and democracy in the sense most American's believe they have. Poverty is high and housing is high cost. What's going on in Hong Kong has nothing to do with freedom or democracy. It has everything to do with who controls the corporate and banking entities and the benefits that come with them. From both China and abroad.
As Malcom X said the cocks have come home to roost
....centuries of British crimes against humanity are bearing fruit in Hong Kong Maryland and Yalta...29 centuries of our 2 great words: Atheism Democracy alive and well fighting theocracy and fascism WITH TRUTH.
Image if a US city was going into revolt and China started interfering to aid it. We would see it as an act of war.
