Law enforcement agencies all around the world should get warrants and raid every Catholic dioceses office to get their internal reports and prosecute all of them. The ones that committed the crimes as well as the ones who covered them up.

from your mouth to god's ears--- just a little pun there-- we all know god does not exist--but how many times have we heard people say that
im not catholic and never had a family member endure that abuse--- but if it had happened to a family member there would be a trail of dead priests from one end of the country to the other
Unfortunately the priest gains the trust of the children that are entrusted to them and abuse them. The kids are conditioned to stay quiet about the abuse. They usually don't say anything until they reach adulthood. If the children speak of the abuse some of the parents do not believe them. Other parents keep it quiet because they are so brainwashed by the church they do not want to speak badly of the church, or believe that if it was known that a family member was abused, it would bring shame on the family. There are more abused children in Africa, Asia, Central America and South America because of the stigmatism associated with bringing shame on to the family. Some parents are never told of the abuse by the children even when they become adults, because of the shame factor or the victims do not want their parents, who are usually very elderly lose their faith.
The victims, and the families of those who have died (whether through suicide or other means), should all file the mother of all class-action suits.
Sue the RCC into complete bankruptcy. Seize ALL their assets, ALL their property,
and send every single one of them to prison.
Yeah, somehow that doesn't seem harsh enough.
There needs to be more.
Suggestions?
Covering it all up, and sending the perverts to a new hunting ground (parish) is IMO more heinous than the assaults, as the higher-ups had a Duty to protect their "flock"!
