Driving Under The Influence:

It's interesting to see two different things going on at that same time.

  1. A Draconian crackdown on people driving after consuming just a tiny bit of alcohol.
  2. Legalization of marijuana.

Now someone with a Blood Alcohol Content of . 08% can have their life ruined. That's one beer for a 120 pound woman.

But at the same time, there will be millions of people driving around stoned on weed.

It doesn't make any sense.

The limit in England is the same at 0.08% but in Scotland it is lower at 0.05%, so drinking any alcohol and driving is a no no. You can also be tested for drugs including marijuana and the penalties are similar

Yes, because one thing a crackdown on drunk driving will do is catch everyone that's at around .08 BAL while totally ignoring anyone that's driving around stoned.

So don’t drink and drive it’s simple. So many lives are ruined because there is a dickhead in charge if a lethal weapon.

Zero alcohol saves any ambiguity, you don’t have to guess if you’ve had too much then.

In Australia you get an infringement if tested positive for illicit drugs with loss of licence and a fine.

Do you think that people weren't driving stoned before legalization?

Since legalization, I drive stoned much less often. It used to be that I wasn't allowed to smoke at home so I'd have to go for a drive just to get high. Now I wouldn't even consider doing that. It's no longer against the law so no one that I live with can give me a hard time about using it at home.
