What are "spiritual realms"?
Do you mean emotive states of being like Awe, Wonder, Ecstasy, Love?
existential -- "of, relating to, or affirming existence"
My morning dump is existential, so I wonder what you mean by this. It seems like you mean "that which confirms my held bias and makes me happy"
"non dimensional contact" Can you show anything not of a dimension? How then could you contact a NON thing?
ALL of this is really FEELINGS, right? Emotional states of being you interpret as you described? Only you filter out the unpleasant feelings and keep the good ones, implying they are more than emotive states of being?
I'm glad you enjoy reading , swimming and the nature walks! But there's not much room for spiritual realms, existential and non dimensional contact here in the Agnostics and Atheists Realm. You might enjoy the posts, though...
Just to say that this may not be the best place to look for anything spiritual
I had the same assumption when I joined the site, until I questioned “spirituality” in a post and got properly slammed by quite a few folks. It seems many of our fellow members self-define as “not religious but spiritual.” Whatever that means ...
@Mofo1953 I do believe there is a big difference between modern-day “spirituality” and the “spiritualism” of yesteryear. Spiritualism’s heyday came after the horrors of both the Great War and the subsequent flu pandemic in which millions died. Grieving families were easy prey for “psychics” and “mediums” promising contact with departed loved ones — at a price, of course. Magician Harry Houdini made it a personal crusade to expose as many of these heartless frauds as he could.
@The-Krzyz I know that some atheists will use the word "spiritual" when trying to convey an awe-inspiring experience/feeling even though they don't attach that word to anything supernatural. I avoid that word as I don't like the connotations. When I look at the diversity of life, nature, the night sky, the moon, ponder the vastness of the universe etc... I certainly have feelings of amazement, wonder and awe, and of being connected to everything; but, I never feel the need to call that experience spiritual.
I don't see cheesesteaks, the iggles or the phillies in that list. Do you really live near Philly?
Not all from Philly do the phillies, however, cheesesteaks are argued about daily and all want to know where is the best in your humble opinion.
@Beowulfsfriend I'm a Jim's guy. D'alessandro's is worth mentioning. To be honest, Wawa cheesesteaks are pretty good.
@zeuser no Wawa for me (don't do that company). My son lives down there and I honestly have had a number of good ones - I just love how the locals tell me the absolute best, and, they are all correct - good food.
What is non dimensional contact?
You know... when you are "there" but you aren't really "there."
Or
"No adjustment to your television set is necessary. We will control what you see and hear."
Online dating, which I guess is where this thread should have gone....
You don't meet two men in zion (misspelled) called Al, perhaps?
Taking your astral plane out for a trip around the bay.
