Name one good thing that comes from the Christian beliefs.
The really cool 500+ year old buildings in Europe and other places.
Medieval art and music.
I don't know, I was forced to endure a whole semester of Chivalric poetry. Perhaps historically the worst literature ever penned and preserved including Jack Kerouac. He was second semester. One semester of simple meter and one of third person narrative. It was a bad year.
Some would say, much of Western Civilization's art, music, literature and legal system. But that's a sort of "wag the dog" scenario that assumes these things would not have substantially, though not identically, evolved apart from the church's influence and that there were no other influences involved. Indeed, the church was so ubiquitous and powerful over the past thousand years that one should not fail to ask if these things evolved in spite of the church. Particularly in spite of the capital-C Church (Roman Catholic). Yes a lot of art has religious themes because it was produced by church patronage, but artists found ways to slip in subversive subtexts to get around it.
For what purpose? There are way too many really bad things that they overshadow by far any positive thing.
@maturin1919 I disagree with your opinion that my way of answering is a "problem."
@maturin1919 don't have to ask anyone but me and my beliefs for my opinion and I really don't give a rats ass about your opinion. Straight enough answer for you?
This! Glory!
Ohferpetessake, sounds like hymns.
