What is the "Ark Encounter?" A $100,000,000 waste of money (built in 2016). Aside from the Adam and Eve fairytale, the Noah's Ark story is what lead me to be an unbeliever at 15 years old. "The Ark Encounter" is a real life replica of Noah's Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible.

How can people still believe this story is true and accurate after seeing this in real life? How is it scientifically possible for all those animals to fit in there? And how did they get all those animals to fit in there? They used magic to tame them? LOL. LOGIC AND REASONING is really missing here.

Why not donate that $100,000,000 to charity or something? You know....like Jesus would of done, the man that Christians idolize?

Frankly Ken Ham may or may not be a true believer. I know he is fully aware that it is scientifically impossible in any feild of science. He has done the debates and these things have been pointed out to him time and time again. He is not ignorant, he is willfully lying. He cerfully crafts lies with deception in his publifications. Earning that kind of money for charity does not make him rich or famous. I honestly think that is the motivation. For more information go to the Youtube Channel Paulagia He has been watching Ken for years.

Bs artist is worst than lying, it's that you don't even care that you are lying.

It's all make-believe. It's fantasy. And might even be a little entertaining. But children need to be told right away that it's just a kind of fairy tale that some adults fall for.

The only religious movie film that broke into the top 100 all time gross making moviesp. Was called,:Noah: staring Russle Crowe. More often called by christians as the most unbiblical movie ever made.

They don't even accept it into the fantasy world of make believe, (not real enough). Lol.

How can it be a real life replica of something that never existed ?

Exactly!!!!

These same folks call our president, messiah.

Exactly!!!!

That is proof that religion is biggest con ever created by man. Thanks for providing the video, but I think it would be a waste of time to watch it. That is biggest waste of money ever spent for a con.

Exactly!!!!! once again!

I knew a lot about this, but i googled again and learned something new. I do not think anyone has confronted ham on this yet.

"AiG considered twelve different possible lengths for the biblical cubit, and AiG chose to use a length of 20.1 inches (51 cm); this produced plans for an ark measuring 510 feet (155 m) long, 85 feet (26 m) wide, and 51 feet (16 m) high."

Cubit
Definition of cubit
: any of various ancient units of length based on the length of the forearm from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger and usually equal to about 18 inches (46 centimeters)

So they applied "reason" to the problem and "decided" the ark was 510 ft.

That is hilarious to me.

They used their reason to calculate the length of a proper cubit, but never considered the insects . . .

IF the ark story were true, then Noah's Family were the most pest ridden humans of all time!
They HAD to carry, flesh eating bacteria, scabies, crabs, intestinal worms, tapeworms, pinworms, lice and Bot fly larva, just to name a few.
As well as all the diseases which ONLY reside in humans, smallpox, typhoid, malaria, Diphtheria, TB and a host of others.

IF that tale were true, you could not fit the INSECTS alone. There are over 35,000 species of spider known, and an estimated 35,000 or more as yet undiscovered.

Not to mention little issues like elephants tipping the boat, the unsoundness of a wooden vessel of such size, ignoring the fact that other nations on the earth took no notice of the flood at all, or that there is just not enough water, or the reality that other people HAD boats already, and in a years time would have assaulted such an ark for the wealth of food it contained.

THEN as the final kicker, it would be the ultimate genetic bottleneck, reducing our DNA finger\print to the results of ONE family, making us ALL siblings by DNA. This would result in all sorts of birth defects and inbreeding within a generation.

It not only takes faith to believe this, it requires turning off your brain as well.

I am actually planning on going to see it this year. It will be a shame to give any $$$ support to Ken Hamm and his ilk, but this is just entirely too ludicrous to be missed.

Srsly. I need to see this for myself.

I look forwards to that post.

@girlwithsmiles - If my brain doesn't melt and leak out of my ears for all the sheer stoopit, I will certainly share - in abundance!

What is amazing to me is that these people believed one man and his family, with no shipbuilding knowledge whatsoever, built this monster. They then were able to find creatures all over the world (including dinosaurs) to fill it. It's another childhood fantasy built on total nonsense and impossibilities. BTW Freedom From Religion Foundation has been very busy and have cost this monstrosity tons of money. One thing they do is to stop public schools from sending their classes to the place. No public money, whatsoever should go to promoting visits here. They even did a stealth visit and made a funny video.
On the mainland in Burlington, WA there is a church with this theme. [hisplacechurch.com]

Sorry, dinosaurs? What?

@JackPedigo strange how the big cats, lions, tigers, cheetahs etc didn't eat the animals. Did Noah tame these cats hahahaha, and dinosaurs? Haha hahaha

@girlwithsmiles The ark is trying to show the earth is only 6,000 years old and there are pictures of humans and dinosaurs together. Kind of like Fred Flintstone.

@girlwithsmiles, @TimeOutForMe There are tons of crazy ideas that are impossible. It's almost like Santa Clause but for consenting adults (you have to agree to totally deny intelligence to believe this crap).

This intellectual monstrosity was put together by Rev. Hamm, the same clown who founded the Creation Museum, if I have its name correctly recalled.
He was interviewed by Ted Koppel, of the original "Nightline" TV show soon after it opened. So, he is seen, live, as it were, on tape, saying that he'd been driven to found said museum after he "...noticed that the evidence for evolution was becoming overwhelming." Thus, we have "overwhelming" evidence, "So I think I'll double down on sticking my head even deeper into the sand." It is this kind of idiocy that helps keep the fairy tales energized.
In direct answer to your question, the number of animals the ancients knew to exist, was a small portion of those that actually did. There were so many unknown unknown ones, such as the Black Swans that no one in Europe, Africa, and the Middle-East knew about until the British got to Australia, for instance. There were, are, millions of species of insects no-one knew about, oh, and then, speaking of Australia, from where did Noah get the kangaroos, etc.
Sadly, the people who would go to see this thing would be people who already buy the religious view hook, line and stupid sinker!

Terrifying that Ham and his views are actually taken seriously by so many people. He is a very dangerous fool.

2

I keep waiting for some disgruntled entomologist to visit it with several queen termites. Those alone make the story impossible.

2

And, they built it over a swamp so moisture is destroying it already...but wait! it only needs to last about 2 months......

2

Just goes to show how religious greed and mystical fantasy can make money off those too poor to go to a real amusement parks in Orlando or Los Angeles!!!

Even Six Flags has more credibility and wholesome family fun, instead of out fraudulent use private and public funds to create creation myths which no one in their right mind could or would ever adhere too!!!

3

I had a great imagination as a child, and picturing children, babies, and animals drowning, per the story of the great flood I learned about in pre-school Sunday school class, generated nightmares for many years.

In many of the poor areas of Kentucky, imagine all the good that money could have done ...

6

This and the "Creation Museum", were both money-grabs.
They got millions in tax breaks and State grants.

I think there should be criminal investigations into all parties involved.
I'd love to see Ken Ham go to prison for fraud.

@vjohnson51 I loathe all those charlatans that prey on people's fears and ignorance. Most of those people cannot afford to give those criminals money, but they do because they don't understand that they're being taken advantage of.
People like Ken Ham, Joel Osteen, Jim Baker (yeah, that piece of shit is back again), and all the rest of them, should all be imprisoned for fraud.

Whenever Noah's Ark comes up, I will post this video.

Cool, thanks 😊

What is the "Ark Encounter?"
Ken Ham's most ridiculous vanity project, and that sayig something when his other ones include freaking "answers in genesis"

4

I think Noah had 2 of each... except for the unicorns....
