**Reasons Not To Vote For Joe Biden:
• He opposed Busing as a means to fight segregation.
• He supported the Iraq War.
• He is funded by corporations and big money donors.
• He supports credit card companies over consumer protection.
• He was in favor of cutting social security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• He can’t keep his hands to himself.
• He is old and his cognition is slipping.

**Reasons Not To Vote For Elizabeth Warren:
• She lied about her Native American Heritage.
• She has been a republican longer than she has been a democrat.
• She is planning to accept contributions from corporations and big donors in the general election.
• She voted in favor of Trump’s massive military budget expansion.
• She is a fauxgressive.

**Reasons Not To Vote For Bernie Sanders:
• He is old and had an issue with his heart.

Please share your thoughts about my thought about these candidates.

Bernie or bust! Also, I and other progressives (code for socialists) are really fucking sick of this double standard when it comes to being forced to support the Dem nominee no matter who it is. We get this demand from the centrist, corporate part of the party every election cycle no matter how corrupt or damaged the nominee ends up being, yet, at the same time, people like Hillary and Obama have already come out and said that if Bernie is the nominee they will not support him and will work against him. Fucking hypocrites....

Their corporatist candidate failed to beat a reality TV host last time. This time, it's their turn to fall in line behind our progressive to destroy Trump in November.

@RoboGraham That's what I am hoping and believe will happen if he gets the nomination. I truly believe he would have beat Trump last time, but we'll never know...

If it's Bernie or bust then it's going to be TRUMP> This is the same crap as last time and the time NADLER ran. You sound like a spoiled child! If I don't get my way I'll just take my toys and go home!

@freeofgod The name was Nader, learn to spell. I will block you.

@freeofgod I seriously hope it doesn't come to that. Progressives will not tolerate another corporatist like Biden. If he is the nominee, the election will go to Trump.

On the other hand, moderate Dems will vote for Sanders just in order to vote against Trump. So he will get all the votes that Biden can get plus the progressives, the youth vote, and many typical non -voters who have been energized by his movement.

If we want Trump gone, voting Bernie in the primary is the best way to do it.

And, he looks like angry Walter, Jeff Dunham's puppet.

2

whoever the D's nominate, I will vote him/her... ...I also think this should be a litmus test question for any democrat running...

3

I would vote for any of them over the waste of skin we currently have in the Whitehouse. I will not dignify your slander with anything more than a healthy fart.

Same here. Where's the slander?

Where did you get this erroneous information from Fox

bobwjr Level 10 Jan 27, 2020

Far from it.

@RoboGraham that's not specific

@RoboGraham no answer ?

@bobwjr It doesn't all come from a single source.

Let me put it this way, if you get your information from sources outside of the corporate cable news networks, you will come across the criticisms which I listed. If not, you remain in their information bubble and when you see flaws pointed out in these candidates, it will sound ludicrous to you.

Also, criticisms of primary candidates don't necessarily come from the republican side. During this race, we are meant to analyze each contender and point out their flaws so we can choose the best leader, the one who has the best chance of winning. If we don't identify these flaws now and choose a candidate who isn't so flawed, Trump will rip our candidate to pieces in the general.

Most of that is false and misleading information Republican disinformation . He didn't oppose busing, never supported Medicare/ social security cuts. Just for starters, all of the Warren claims are false

bobwjr Level 10 Jan 27, 2020

@RoboGraham just posted addition

[nytimes.com]

[factcheck.org]

Can you be a bit more specific about how Warren's claims are wrong?

@Aurora62 pretty old quote and the intercept is sketchy site

2

Many of the "reasons" you cite here are false... In any case, I'll simply vote against trump as all my group of friends will also...

Which are false? If there are mistakes, I'd like to know so I can make corrections.

2

I'll vote for the dem nominee. Anyone but tRump.

having said that Bernie would be my preference

I like your solidarity!

Bernie's heart issue is in the past. He's recovered and has a clean bill of health.

He's nearly two decades older than me, but more spry and energetic every day than my very best day. Far tougher than many of his young supporters.

I wish he were younger but if people were really concerned about that they could have had him 4 years ago. He was told old then, too, apparently. I suspect he would have been styled "too old" if he'd run 10 years ago. So it goes. They can't fault his policies or his record on substance, so they have to say he's old, sick, irascible, a dreamer, yadda-yadda.

Yup. All they got on him is that he's old, he yells, and socialism is scary.

At least Bernie's heart is in the right place. If he dies in office, I'm confident he will have chosen a VP who will carry on as Bernie would.

If Bernie wins, it will be a mandate for change. Whoever replaces him will have no choice but to continue his vision.

And they are both better than trump. What drivel.

Better than Trump, which is why I'll hold my nose and vote for whoever the nominee is if it's not Bernie.

But not better enough. We need someone who will reform the party and heal the nation, and restore our legitimate leadership in the world -- not a more low grade form of Trump's corruption and failure to address the issues and concerns that gave us Trump to begin with.

Better than Trump is an extremely low bar. Why would you want to settle for someone who is just better than Trump? If the goal is to beat Trump, shouldn't we nominate the candidate who has the best chance of doing it?
