My surgery went well today. I was expecting about a 30 minute procedure to excise what i thought was about a nickel sized melanoma. It was a 2 hour operation with a 4 inch incision. They believe that they got all of the cancerous tissue.
I am glad that I canceled my cruise for next week, there is no way I could have enjoyed it or been able to fully participate.
I'm going to take some time to heal, then hit the ground running again
Yay. May your cancer be benign and never come back.
That's awesome news. You need to rest and take it easy. You owe it to yourself and your healing. Hope your follow up sessions go well too. Stay strong
Glad it went well. I had a small place removed from my arm a while back, and I was surprised at the size of the incision. Also amazed at how much it cost!
Thankfully, my rich uncle poissoned me in the 70s, so now the VA covers me. In the last 2 years, I have been really thankful for that.
Smart decision. Good luck. I want to say god speed but you know us atheist , we hate that shit.
God speed is as good anything, the meaning is clear.
good to know. Don't overdo things.
