How important is it to you to have regular sexual activity for your health and happiness?

Another variation on the same question you've already posted?

Yes, posted in a different topic and thanks for letting me know.

I am happy to say that my 38 year relationship with my freaky, willing and experimental husband has given me fantastic memories, unfortunately between illness and life and cancer and death and now widowhood. Tough shit.

You were blessed

Considering how poor my health is and the low level of happiness evidently pretty fucking important.

What is regular? Once a day, once a week? Once a month?
I don't believe that the importance is to be "regular", but to be compatible in sexual activity. If one person in the relationship wants it 3 times a week and the other once a month. There might be sparkles that will fly somewhere. Not only tat, but also the kind of sex the couple is having. If once loves rough or submissive sex and the other oly want romantic and soft sex, there might also be problems. Will it lead to infidelity? Will it lead to the couple breaking up?
Whether we like it or not, sexuality is a big part of any relationship. And people need to be on the same page when it comes to it. S yes, before starting any new relationship, I do ask about their sexuality. It might seem like I am only thinking about sex, but if one in the relationship is unhappy about the frequency or kind of sex, chances it will not make a happy relation.

In general I would say yes.

When in a relationship.

To quote Woody Allen: "Sex is like air; it's not important unless you aren't getting any."

True dat.

Not very, I've had it available constantly, and I've gone for quite a while without it. Never really thought about it much either way, so I guess that means its not very important 2 me

I have to generally daily or don't want to walk around horny as the case may be.

2

Not really, but only because I've managed to de-prioritise something that will never happen.

If you want it bad enough it would.

Oxytocin junkie here. A dry spell has a noticable negative effect on my physical well-being as well as my state of mind.

Extremely. I need and crave physical contact, even if it’s just cuddling.

so true

Very. Unfortunately, that's no guarantee I'm going to have sex anytime soon nor in the frequency I'd like. I'd be healthier if I did but I'd be happy regardless.

Dunno. I have a vibrator for whenever I should feel the need for it.

Ya I have toys too but what I really need is a human touch.
