Speech to text technology will change the way people talk. Words such as many and mini may be uttered with precision so the AI understands.
It may only be a short term glitch, Al will get better.
Yes, AI will improve. ATM the best can converse with a person and pass the Turing test. Thus, the best can already distinguish many, mimi and Minnie from the context of conversation. However, a cell phone or laptop hasn't power to understand context. Perhaps 5G network technology and SpaceX's Starlink will improve communication speed to the cloud enough fou speech to text that can understand context.
I have a New Yawk accent and my cheap 10" Samsung tablet understands me perfectly 99% of the time....just amazing!
I use TTS and I clearly enunciate, and pause between directives. I don't see what's so bad anout that. The English Language has been evolving for centuries. Look at slang.
It needs to be improved to better be able to understand accents. IT often gets my friend's words wrong due to his hispanic accent and sometimes it does not understand what I am saying even though I am a native english speaker! >:/
Me too.
