Are people just too busy for relationships? How many of us are working 7 days a week? My mom's boyfriend drove from Florida to Maryland with a client to sell him a boat. My mom barely had dinner with him. He's back in Florida now.

If you care for someone they are (should be!!!) A Priority and you will find time...period!

I have all the time in the world. It isn't lack of time.

Some people definitely are too busy for a relationship, but often their loneliness causes them to get in one anyway - often to someone not fully aware of how little they'll have of their partner.
It's something I always ask, before setting up a meeting - IF they have time in their lives to get to know someone !

I find it unsettling if someone wants to be joined at the hip - doing EVERYthing together. eesh.

But then, there are also people that do not want a close connection - just an occasional person. Those kind need to find each other ...

SEEKING A Relationship is why I joined 3 years ago....I have been retired and eager to relocate for a relationship but next to zero consider a house spouse worth their minimal efforts to be given such love....busy or not Atheists are not better off single and alone spending hours each day here in COMMUNITY ....I am guessing most women my age did NOT say no often enough in their previous relationships and now are saying a blanket no to all but the most wealthy eye candy washboard ab Chippendale.....scammers DAILY send me photos of girls in yoga pants and halter tops via other dating sites.....I know they are Niggerian boys but only xian women click on my photo then block me when they realize what real American Atheists civil rights leadership career is all about and how 2 love birds like John&Yoko can accomplish towards world peace

We all have either busy or leisurely schedules that might vary throughout our lifetimes. I'm lucky that I have a super flexible work schedule, and can choose to work as much or as little as I like, but not everyone is as lucky as me.

But even so, I have to admit that sometimes my own private time, or enjoyment of other activities can take precedence over devoting time to a relationship when that relationship is not quite what I want for myself, so I simply limit the time I spend toward it.

BTW - I do work 7 days a week - sometimes it's 15 minutes, and sometimes it's 6 hours. So, I admit I have more time than many. I enjoy so much of that time enjoying my own peaceful existence.

I think if I was to fall into a relationship that was really the bees knees, I'd still spend only as much time as I wished devoted to the relationship, since I wouldn't want to smother anyone, the same way I don't want to be smothered.

Sometimes a short amount of time, well spent, is worth more than hours and hours being borderline bored with each other, so it all depends on how much one enjoys the company of their romantic interest.

People need relationships; although, it is possible to work ourselves into denial, we will not be at our best. We are being abused by th oligarchs.

Time is definitely not a problem for me.

Some maybe not me
