lies.... it's all lies!

I do not like women who feel they have to make you guess what they want. Manipulation is not going to make it. I do like strong women who know what they want and can communicate. I hate having to guess, or having to figure out what is happening. If a woman cannot be honest with me and just talk then why waste the time. Give me someone who is intelligent, more intelligent than me, I can learn, I am trainable, but allow me to learn and listen. Do not turn it into a game until I learn and accept the rules. I hope I am saying what I hope I am saying. Thoughts?

The Dinosaur

“You need to dumb down your conversation,” one man said within 10 minutes of meeting. “Men are intimidated by your intelligence and class.” I was appalled.

“Speak for yourself,” I replied crisply. “Obviously YOU are intimidated by my intelligence. I refuse to act stupid to mollify the insecure ego of a sexist man.”

I was amused. Over dinner I deliberately baited the jerk, getting him to talk. He told about flying to Russia to find a subservient bride. None of the girls would go home with him. He complained bitterly about working for a female boss. By now, I was enjoying myself. Gave him a mini-lecture on protected groups in Title 7 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. snicker

We walked across the street to the Performing Arts Center for a jazz concert as planned. At the concert, I deliberately cheered and clapped loudly to annoy him as an uppity woman. It was great.

“Thank you for dinner,” I said sweetly after the concert. Refusing to speak to me, he strode off angrily.

“I refuse to listen to your feminist religion,” he said in an email the next day.

“The last time I checked, feminism is not a religion,” I replied. “Although you are 58, you sound like a man born 200 years ago. You are a DINOSAUR. Leave me alone.”

That went well.
