That is super frickin' rude but I'm guessing he never eats anything not prepared by his own people or a chain restaurant because he's a germaphobe. And it probably has to be highly processed and chlorinated ground up meat to pass through his system. He's probably deep into the anxiety meds right now trying not to freak out over how dirty he thinks India is. He's also probably shitting his big-boy-pants thinking he might get corona virus, or get blown up by some Islamic terrorist while he's there. All kind of dampens the appetite.

You can tell Modi I'll be more than happen to try anything of his vegetarian gourmet feast - I'm sure it was all delicious.

And actually when food in India is prepared for westerners they're particular careful the way they cook it so that visitors won't be effected by any sort of microbes that the population is otherwise used to (my parents visited India some years back and were instructed to only eat at the hotel or at approved restaurants; true to form, my father didn't do that and got very sick)... Even so, I bet 45 wouldn't even eat this type of food in the States. I don't think he wouldn't appreciate anything that wasn't "American" -- he even lambasted "Parasite" for winning the Best Picture Oscar because it was a foreign film.
