The Bethel charismatic mega-church in Redding, California is telling its faith healers to stay away from hospitals. The church is afraid that its faith healers might get the corona virus. I'm not kidding! You can find the story in the March 10th Sacramento Bee. This same church runs the "Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry."
Bethel is trying to protect its organization, over and above its congregants, even though they are a source of income and muscle. Yes, muscle: Bethel is very powerful politically in the Redding area, and use their power to bully and intimidate the community. Many people are afraid to oppose or criticize this “church,” because the blowback is often much more than “supernatural,” using tactics more akin to those used by gangsters. Or corporations ...
Finally making the sane balance between hopeful good vibes and science.
Yes this school has been accredited by the "National Repository of Official Superficial Bullshit."
But going to the mega church in large numbers is recommended? Hope so.
Ah yes. The Faith Healers from Bethel by the River. Undergrads of the School of Supernatural Healing. They come from the world over to learn the ancient art of laying on of hands. And, as with any good college of Supernatural Learning, Bethel's has an externship in which the students go out into the city and approach strangers asking if they can lay hands upon them and cure their ills. And field trips to the hospitals where they can show doctors and medical personnel how healing is done.
But to the point - it does seem strange that if these potential graduates of the School of Supernatural Healing can heal you and I - but can not heal each other. Now it could be that they have not completed "Heal Each Other 101" and the faculty didn't want them to bring anything back to the school that would test the faculties ability to practice what they preach.
yup, typical when faith meets reality faith runs for the hills
