Speaking of Covid19,
Was sitting on my front veranda, come shade-house for potted plants, yesterday afternoon when my Evangeloon neighbour called out to me ( disturbing my quiet peace and enjoyment of life I may add) saying he thinks he has the Corona Virus.
Being a decent human being, I asked what symptoms he had to which he replied, " None, nothing at all, why?"
I thought for a few seconds and responded, " Well I don't think it IS Covid19 that you have BUT it might be Morona Virus and there is no cure or vaccine for that."
His response was quite predictable in that he said, " Oh, maybe I should ring the Hospital and ask about this Morona Virus and see if I should quarantine myself and for how long."
Oh boy, life does enjoy a bit of a joke now and then, especially when it comes to the Evangeloons of this world.
As a wee follow up, the Evangeloon told me less than an hour ago, over the adjoining fence thankfully, that he went to the Emergency Department of the Hospital this morning and told them that thought he may " Morona Virus," and he wanted some medical advice on how he should look after himself.
It seems that some Doctors do have a sense of humour, since the Doctor ran out of the room trying to stifle a sudden urge to laugh then came back in some time later and gave him a referral letter to take to the Psychiatrist on Duty at the Psychiatric Department.
Our neighbourhood Evangeloon now has appointments with a the Psychiatrist booked for every second day for the next 3-4 weeks PLUS a medical prescription, what as a Nurse, I know to be nothing more than Placebos.
The main placebo being one to be labeled by the Pharmacist as " Moronabioticus."
Kudos to the doctor for catching that toss and handballing it
