When I was a teenager and in a bad place, I believed that there was a God. Now that I'm in my 30s and in a good place, I'm not sure if God exists at all. Any comments?

Sometimes I feel religion is used on people when they are in a vulnerable place. That could be why it's taught to children when they are not smart enough to know better. Why it's the building blocks of AA. Also why they send a religious figure to your room while you're in the hospital. It's quite disturbing.

Religion is taught to us at an age when we trust adults completely. In many cases ,even those of us who are critical of other lies are taken in because we want there to be something marvellous that we can depend on. Teaching religion to children is a gross betrayal of their trust

I'm in my 40's and life is so much better now without all the with ifs. Life is simple..... you don't need all that religion shit to be a decent human being.

contemplate a God that does not exist then, as weird as that maybe sounds; no literal old white guy with a beard, no "objective evidence" at all, the Unknown God

The gods only seem credible to me when I’m in a dangerous situation — a typhoon at sea or lightning storm in the mountains. When I’m feeling safer, they are nowhere to be found!
