When I was a teenager and in a bad place, I believed that there was a God. Now that I'm in my 30s and in a good place, I'm not sure if God exists at all. Any comments?
This is something best left for you to work out. Personally I believe each person needs the freedom to chart his own course in life. I think that course is best done without a ‘god,’ that there is no proof exists. At the same time if you are ‘searching’ for the truth, you will come to a conclusion that you need for your life. Happy searching...
Sometimes I feel religion is used on people when they are in a vulnerable place. That could be why it's taught to children when they are not smart enough to know better. Why it's the building blocks of AA. Also why they send a religious figure to your room while you're in the hospital. It's quite disturbing.
Religion is taught to us at an age when we trust adults completely. In many cases ,even those of us who are critical of other lies are taken in because we want there to be something marvellous that we can depend on. Teaching religion to children is a gross betrayal of their trust
I'm in my 40's and life is so much better now without all the with ifs. Life is simple..... you don't need all that religion shit to be a decent human being.
