Watching "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" last night......i have eaten in some of the festured places when traveling in my RV., even made them a destination (i always have multiple destinations.) And suddenly thought: They will all be gone, won't they, after this is over?!
There will be changes, but humanity is humanity and the need to socialize, the love of good food and atmospherics, the need for the comfort of a familiar “family” style place to relax will come back. Most of these restaurants will win out and most places will reopen, most likely under the same owners. They will take out loans, find generous patrons to help with funding and the rush, once it is deemed safe to get out, will have it up and humming soon enough. Businesses survive wars, revolutions and disasters, they will survive a virus.
Have to wait and see. The 2 trillion relief package was supposed to help everyone and businesses while the virus runs its course.
@seenoevil9620 Actually its really not "our" money, a facade to keep the status quo as is. Sure we pay taxes to keep the system operational for those who really gain from it. In the current system, those who will really profit from this are those who have always profited from the system. It will hopefully help a few small businesses from failing. I would much rather we changed from the status quo and go with an option discussed here, [thezeitgeistmovement.com] but I don't see it happening in my lifetime.
