I liked The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. They had flaws but the overwhelming criticism I've heard about these two movies has primarily been whiny idiotic complaints. They weren't the movies I wanted, but they would have had to make these movies 20 years sooner for the original cast to be young enough to make the movies I had really wanted.
The Last Skywalker was the only movie I was truly disappointed in (not counting Solo). The movie just felt disjointed from the previous two. It did not mesh with the previous movies at all. It really felt like I'd missed seeing a movie and this was actually episode 10 or 11.
Oh well. In the end, they are just movies. There will be other Star Wars movies eventually as well as new and ongoing TV series. Disappointment will happen but this is just 2 1/2 hours of life so it's just not that big of a deal.
