Read about this and am surprised why people and scientists didn't really think this thru. We have had several posts here for people to make their own masks. Perhaps it could be a business niche.
As I’m self isolating at home I have no need of a mask. Those who are still going to work...essential occupations, and those going out to buy food, should use some sort of mask or improvised nose or mouth covering. There is a universal shortage, and until all medical staff and other healthcare workers have a sufficient supply, they will remain almost impossible to obtain. I expect the production of them is being increased, so they will be available for all some time soon, hopefully.
So are mask wearers wearing them so they don’t catch it or in a more philanthropic sense in that they don’t pass it on.
The two are not mutually exclusive, quite the oposite.
