Police find the drowned body of Robert Kennedy's grandaughter whose son also presumed dead. Why is there so much tragedy in this Kennedy family?
Why is there so much tragedy in this Kennedy family? Besides the assassinations 5 decades ago?
Because every time they do something stupid that gets them killed it makes news and we hear about it. ...when their canoe was evidently swept into the Chesapeake Bay. ....McKean and her son got into a canoe to retrieve a ball that had landed in the water.
When my cousin drowned because he had to row out to bring the crabpot in or else the approaching storm would probably have swept it away it didn't make the national news, even though they both were just as stupid.
Personally, I think they grew up taking risks, and failed to learn fear and good judgment. And sometimes they pay that price. The whole family seems to be prone to taking risks. Most of us are risk adverse and carefully consider our course of action. The Kennedy's have this idea that they are special and sometimes with disastrous consequences.
You know Paula that is the best answer I've ever heard. My family from Massachusetts saw the Kennedys as gods and actually paid $500 a plate to go to a political dinner with them. I worked for Teddy Kennedy and met Chris Lawford, his nephew, son of Peter Lawford, who died recently.....
Might be something o do with Joseph Kennedy (JFK's father)having been a bootlegger, mafia Don and a Nazi collaborator.
Karma?

It is definitely a family with a penchant to tragedies. Wealth, ambition, political and tragic. What a combination.
