This will go over well. Good for them, though.
Kentucky is urging residents to avoid Easter services this weekend due to the coronavirus pandemic, warning that anyone who attends in person will be ordered to quarantine for 14 days.
Officials are aware of about six churches planning to hold in-person services, Gov. Andy Beshear said in a statement. The state police will record attendees' license plates and notify them it is a misdemeanor violation of orders issued by state health officials, the governor said.
"Local health officials then will contact the people associated with those vehicles and require them to self-quarantine for 14 days. This is the only way we can ensure that your decision doesn't kill someone else," Beshear said.
It would be more simple to simply chain up the doors.
That's already happened, a landlord changed the locks on a church that rents from them when the church said it will continue to hold services. Can find the link if you like.
@1of5 i iwsh i could have found any updates on that story, i think it happened about 6 days ago, and I couldnt find anything less than 4-5 days old. Sadly I think the landlord is going to get punished... lock outs are strictly regulated and pretty much illeagal without written notice and a court order. don't know how the legal code in CA is written but its very pro tenant and I doubt the landlord has the deep pockets to battle the coalition of nut job xtians that will fund the churches legal bills. if there was a go fund me for the landlord, id consider donating (if i had any money)
@MarkiusMahamius the landlord there was another church and the church they locked out were planning to violate an ordinance. Be interesting to see, especially in light of how some outbreaks have been traced to communal church activities.
How will they enforce it ? Some folks will need meds/groceries/etc.
Probably fines.
Im betting the legislature will step in and fuck things up worxe
