It has always been fascinating to consider how the cycles of astronomical bodies can have an effect on animal instincts and behaviors. I mean, for the case of the sun (day v. night) it is very intuitive. More subtle are the effects the lunar cycle. Particularly how, "Moonlight shapes how some animals move, grow and even sing".
