I was wondering if anybody here ever had a job that makes you sick ? Allergies ? Aching muscles and bones , stomachpain ? Just feeling miserable all around ? And what did you do about it ?
My wife walked out of a job interview for Polak's Fruital Works in Middletown, NY. It always smelled of something, from roses to pepperoni. She terminated the interview with Bernie Polak telling him the smell was making her sick and she couldn't work there. She said it was a super sweet smell, but if it had been pepperoni things might have gone differently.
Yes, I have one right now. I am looking for another job. The thing that's bad is that I love what I do, but the stress that is involved is killing me.
I had a few of those...I looked for and found other jobs..
I feared a few times, that I would be homeless, once you realize that isn't the end of the world...we pick ourselves up and do something else!
I am a lot like a gypsy anyway...lol
@Freedompath being homeless sucks..been there for 18 long months..
@Charlene funny...when I wrote about being homeless...I do believe that the people who have REALLY, struggled, appear to be the strongest on here! You sound like a really strong person!
@Freedompath I can be..thanks!
I did have some of that, back in my working days. My children and pthet family members, have various degrees of it now. It would be helpful to find something outside work, that is light and fun, if possible! And if you are not doing so...keep a journal, because you get your concerns out of yourself and can see them, from a different angle. Meantime, be on the alert for work that would be more in keeping with who you are. Keep things simple for yourself, as you want some of your energy to do things that you enjoy. Eat more fruits and vegetables, than meat and make sure they are foods you like. I wish you luck, and there is hope, and don't worry about what you don't know...most all of us, once didn't know something. But, all of us can learn enough...
@ThatpersonIam maybe, you could have a little depression going on. Get some sun everyday, at least for hour. Try soaking cotton balls or pads with witchhazel and put them on your eyes and lie down for a short while. Best of luck, and just keep things simple, until your balance returns. You have to take care of self, right now!
@ThatpersonIam good luck, and don't give up with finding a solution to your situation! There is one, somewhere!
Sometimes someone comes into our e.r. with necrosis or maggots and I throw up. I just try to get my job done and then break down later
