I grew up in Brooklyn in the 50s and 60s and I can tell you that although we never did anything illegal. Some of the pranks and nonsense we did and got caught for with a slap on the wrist by police and told to not do that shit anymore, would have gotten a black teen arrested, beat up or killed
@bklynite53 yes, be ause the ideal for police back then was "keep the peace" & "protect & serve", oh, and "innocent until proven guilty"
N9t anything they remember/get taught now, for sure!
