Any unusual hobbies or collections?
Collection: I used to have a knife collection that included a curved dagger my brother brought me from Spain, a switchblade, and throwing knives.
Unusual hobbies: extreme bird photography, body surfing waves, riding motorbikes, training gaited horses for trail and driving, designing and sewing clothing, including undergarments .

Wow. Nice.
I collect tumbled semi-precious minerals and gemstones. I just think they're cool and beautiful. I don't think they have healing powers or anything like that .
I got a bunch of remote controls from different cable and satellite companies.
That's funny....lol
Me, 2! Maybe we can donate our collections to the Smithsonian..
I collect pinup items. New and Vintage photos, playing cards, matchbooks, calendars. They look great in my bedroom and bath.
I have a collection of science fiction pocket books that my Mother started back in the 40's. It has the first edition of every sci-fi pocket book printed in the USA from then and before too around the late 80's or so. All in protective glassine envelopes, each with it's own file card, and all in specially made cases in alphabetical order. I have been collecting my entire (72 yrs.) life and now have somewhere in the neighborhood of 2500 books. I also collect blacksmithing tools. Hammers, tongs, anvils, vises, etc. Got any?
I’ve got ice tongs,, a scythe and a sickle. Belonged to my late husband.
I have a fine collection of whips.
Bullwhips. Snake whips. Shot-snake whips. Signal whips. Australian stock whips. Australian yard whips. Florida cow whips. Driving whips.
Ranging from about 10 foot, down to less than 2 - the shorter ones being perfectly usable indoors (after all, you never know when you'll hear a strange lowing noise and find your living room full of cattle - must have happened to lots of people!)
Materials being horse hide, cow hide, kangaroo hide (kangaroo hide really is the VERY BEST whip leather), nylon, rubber tape, etc.
cool! i got Joseph Strain to make me 5.. smallest is a mini whip and longest is 10'. also got a couple little snappers from midwest whips. Joseph Strain made the whips for kingdom of the crystal skulls. best ones i've seen.. these shown are all 12 plait except for the third size up which is 8. they are so well made they are like cables.
I also collect knives...used to have a huge collection, but lost it years ago....been starting a new one, but nothing too exotic....well, exotic, but just functional replicas....
hobbies: MMA (which was going to be my profession, but I got old...so now it is an occasionally exhausting hobby), steel work.
i would love to have the time to make switchblades.. i am on a facebook group and this guy made a leverlock the size of a little longer than a nickel... he sold it for a grand.
I collected TV guides from 1963 until around 2000 when they went to the large format. I only collected the fall preview guide and special edition guides. I had a TV guide route as a child and that's what got me into it. I hope to sell them on ebay soon. Time to purge some of my collections.
