I like myself as my favourite person on this forum but that's a requirement before you can like anybody else. After myself I tend to like the intelligent people, the witty people and the sarcastic/irreverent people. They know who they are, I don't need to point them out.

Well I don't throw my 'love' around but there are a great many that I respect and enjoy reading their posts, others, I just enjoy their humour. I don't have to agree with everything they say to not appreciate them.

I have about half dozen or so favorite people I would love to meet in person and have a long talk with and get to know them better I know things would go no further, but would love to call them a personal friend after that . But i know that is never going to happen ,distance and covid and circumstances ,But i do so enjoy their personalities and life styles and mindsets and how they intereract ,off line conversations ,but each one is so different from each other for me @ literateHiker and @ Wildflower are at the top plus 4 more than are all right up there

@ Literate Hiker , we were going to get together for a coffee chatted with him a few times,he only lives an hour away and i am in his area periodically ,I miss his post,very knowledgeable and an avid reader i think
I don't think he is dead. I see him on facebook and his account makes posts. So I think he is alive just was done with this site.
@RoyMillar if you have facebook, he has a facebook account. You can create one for like a day or two, message under his public posts, and get his contact info. Then delete your account.

@Boomtarat03 my first wife is from Hong Kong, her family has bern harassed to no end by the chinese communist party, she told me that China is not honoring the treaty signed with the UK and unanimously implemented in mainland China a "national security" law that allows the goverment to crack down any type of dissent. If that is being "the best" I guess any discussion of the CCP having muslim chinese in concentration camps and systematically destroying all those who dare to speak up is pointless. [economist.com]
