Calling all “ex christians”
I am putting together a documentary called “confessions” and Id to interview those who have walked away from any organized religion.
If you would like to participate Id like to interview you. I am an “X” myself and believe there is a really powerful story to tell and want to see more people free’d intellectually from the prison of religion. I want them to see that life is still very meaningful and purposeful with out religion. If you vibe with this and feel comfortable with an interview lemme know!

Perhaps if you began with your story and shared it with the group you'd get more of what your looking for. And you know you can ask questions here, so if people want to answer anonamously, they can as well.
When I checked your profile, I see you're a man of few words and don't have a bio, and with only 4 responses it's hard to get to know you. No criticism here, many of us are interested, but as you can see, some are characteristicly cautious, as we have been less than welcomed for our ideas before.
Best of luck with your interviews.
Am okay with that, but am kinda very far away...
I'm not sure if I fit what you're looking for, but I am a former ELCA Lutheran pastor. I identify as an agnostic Christian as I doubt the probability of god, but I follow the example of Jesus in my personal life an dealings with others. I would be open to corresponding with you if you wish.
I would be up for an interview, although my schedule doesn't allow for much travel.
I’m an ex-Christian, wasn’t really a preacher or pastor but a leader for the young ppl in those days. I long since drop out of religion but still believe in Jesus and all the traditions and even some rituals that go with it. But my journey towards Atheism started 4 yrs ago... it was a long and testing period until I finally let go about 20 months ago. Free at last. I’d love to be of help if I fit as a candidate.
? I'd love to participate.
@Atlas_Rising Either? Both? I'm good with anything that you're comfortable with
This is a great idea! It personally helped me to know my husband and I weren't the only ones going through what we did when we left our religion. If we participate it would have to be completely anonymous.
Sure, love to speak with you. Raised Catholic, left to go to the Protestant church, then Messianic (was a elder) and screwed over by a Christian family with a preacher in the family that took part of the screwing. Now...walked away totally from the hippocrates and religion.
I’m not sure my story is that compelling but I’m game. I was Roman Catholic, but I just thought realistically and none of it made sense. St. Blaise day was supposed to bless you against sore throats and that didn’t work. Wine didn’t taste like literal blood (not a bad thing in my option that was creepy if you ask me about rituals) and basically science made much more sense as to something that I could test instead of a thing in which I couldn’t be sure of which self contradicted and required blind faith.
I personally am not previously religious, but this is something that i see real value in good luck my friend with the documentry.
What would the location be? Is it religion specific or might include any 'walk-aways', in terms of belonging and belief? Is there any penance?
@Atlas_Rising Your project sounds rather original and I'm interested in learning more. My location is Southern California until next Fall. I'm also semi-retired and free to travel with enough time to free-up days. Email - silverwun@gmail
A remote interview via Skype or Zoom - I'm in. For some background on me, visit [niceguyjim.com]
I would be interested in both seeing the finished product and participating if possible. Kinda far so not sure how that would work per se...
