@dermot235 That is a possibility in some places. They've done it before. It won't stop the will of the people if we can keep it from being close.

@Zster I know. I heard Obama talk about over 1600 Poling stations being closed already. Every time they close a poling station there should be protest like the BLM protests. People should go to the state capitol buildings. Outrage is required. The US is sleep walking into the removal of it's democracy

1. Do you really think Democrats are more motivated than the Conservatives?
2. Democrats voting percentage in all Conservatives states is low. Texas is called a non-voting state because Democrats don't come out to vote.
3. We may have a lot of anger against Trump but mostly it is among the progressives. I am not sure about the moderates and independents. I think many of them made up their minds after Bernie and Biden campaigns.
4. It does not take long in the campaign season for the polling lead to evaporate. Remember Hillary was leading ahead of Trump by 15 to 20 points in most surveys in 2016?

@St-Sinner I hope Trump loses. What I think doesn't matter. I think Democrat voters are more motivated than they were 2016. Hillary never was up 10-15 points so that's an exaggeration. Hillary never polled 50% or higher. The undecided all went to Trump. I think this year is different. Why do you ask me what I think and will what I think make any difference?

I hope that happens. I asked you because you are very hopeful about Trump losing but my pragmatism tells me to be cautious because Trump is unpredictable and Biden is predictable about making a mess.

@St-Sinner check 2016 polls. Hillary was never higher than 48% and that's what she got. Joe Biden is likable. Hillary is not. Likeability or lack of such killed her. Trump isn't likeable but he's funny and that works for people. His humor is wearing off.

I hope yo are right but Biden is not likable as you think. Voters including I are very nervous about electing this gaffe machine old wood as our president.

The only hope I have is that we haven’t swung so far in the wrong direction that there’s no coming back. I fear Trump has awoken (or allowed to come out into daylight) some ugliness in the American people that we might not be able to contain again anytime soon.

I used to look at the Weekly World News and The Sun and look at the way they fawn over the royal family, who are nothing more than a bunch of Germans who are leeches on society. I used to think that those shallow Brits were no better than Tea Party Trumpers. They're not. Things will be fine in the United States. I have hope. I'm still proud to be an American.
