How do you like Biden's cabinet?
Note - Senators from shaky constituencies will not be included.
I tried to give my guesses. You want to give it a try?
I wish he would choose abrams if not for vp for a cabinet head
and mayor pete id like as chief of staff or vetrans affairs or defense
harris to replace barr
Not a Harris fan at all. As prosecutor she fought against DNA testing that could prove people's innocence. I'd prefer someone in favor of justice.
I think Kamala Harris would be a bad move on his part. It will polarize certain groups of people toward Trump and we've seen what that brings. I don't have anything against her in the slightest, I actually like her. But I think it would be am extremely risky move.
Warren should stay in the Legislature. She can do more good there than in the cabinet.
I would have liked warren as vp but hey as long as frumps out im good
You didn't say where you got this list, and you didn't say you made it yourself. What is your agenda?
My agenda is guessing. I always do predictions, betting and won 3 times in the past... in VP choices.. Al Gore, Biden and Tim Kaine.
My sources are own guessing + filtering of news articles.
@St-Sinner I would have added that to the piece, but that's just me.
@St-Sinner I believe it is predictt.com where a friend of mine "invests" on his political speculations. He has made close to 2k "not gambling" legally. It may be another site. If I discover it, and you are interested I will post. Not my thing, although my lady friend says I should. Too late for this cycle to make any real cash without a big risk.
@Beowulfsfriend
I am interested. Thank you.
At this point, I'll take what I can get. So you guys pick, so long as The buffoon and his minions are gone
Why oh why would you post this dog-dinner steaming pile of speculation? Oh, wait, you are a drump lover. Nevermind
Lol, I am not although you think that because I am a truth teller on both sides.
I agree.
That is because people don't change although they change labels.
@TheMiddleWay everyone who invents anything thinks it will somehow "bring people tigether" or "establish world peace" or whatever. Google "Nobel Prize".
@TheMiddleWay This is obviously a real quote from him. Where did you find it, though?
@JeffMurray ummmm, "slug" is highly biased, and suspect.
@AnneWimsey You believe @admin didn't actually say that?
@JeffMurray Where? When? I ASSume nothing..."sounds like something....." is just BS
@AnneWimsey You said:
@JeffMurray ummmm, "slug" is highly biased, and suspect.
I was asking if your distrust of that website makes you think the admin didn't actually say what they attributed to him.
Massachusetts has a Republican governor who would likely appoint a Republican to fill Warren's seat should she take a cabinet position.
Right!
Absolutely, we need her to stay in the senate unless we would have a majority without her.
@starwatcher-al Possible, but even if, why would we narrow the margin if we could avoid it?
Susan Rice,, is the only one I like.
Got some baggage but then everyone does.
can't take too many senators
I agree, especially from toss up seats. But safe seats should be ok, right... like Warren in MA, another in California?
Ugh. I fucking hate this. No. I do not want trump to serve a second term. But what I have as an alt. sucks ass just as well..
And Kamala Harris is a toxic fuming career politician that has very much so, used her power to screw over a LOT of defendants in her time. Please stop right here. and look up her record as a DA, and some of the shit she has pulled to not serve justice, but more to have a winning record.
I honestly don't know most of the rest in his cabinet, but I can only really say that I don't trust, or agree with a lot of the Dems politics. But I am left with again, the lesser of two evils. I fucking hate this system from commander in chief, all the way through the House, and senate.
We need to clean 'house' so to speak. BOTH sides are more concerned with financial arangments than anything else.
@creative51 Without proportional representation WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE ONLY TWO PARTIES. Belonging to a third party is just a more vocal way of abstaining from elections.
@creative51 You don't know me at all, yet you make assertions, and assumptions about me. That imho is also part of the problem.
I actually do a lot more that complain, especially in this case where I know a lot of people agree that the whole system it tarnished.
First off the whole notion of voting only for a party rather than for whom I agree with and on their merits. is also part of the problem.
I guess one of the key points there was that I do in fact vote. That IS doing something.
One of my main gripes about this broken system goes farther than just the politicians , it has to do with the people, the voters.
Far too many are so polarized as to not even come to 'the table' so to speak, and have a civil conversation. They rather post stupid memes on social media all day. Both side are guilty of this, and I'm up in their grill about that all the time. So in essence, I am a snowflake to some, and a Nazi to the others. And the kicker is that I get called that from the same comment.
That same thing applies to those that hold seats in every branch of our government, save a few here and there. Both of these need to change.
I also have, and will continue to support those who I do believe can make a difference.
Just because I don't have any admiration for the politics of either Trump, or Biden does not mean I do nothing.
@creative51, @JeffMurray Even with so called 'representation', our system is fairly fucked. I don't think adding a third party would be any solution. I honestly thing that the WAY the two party system is set up is what a once good thing gone horribly wrong. I don't just blame they system. I also blame the voters for not doing their share. And by share, I mean do some actual looking into the candidates. strengths, weaknesses, merits. Will they stand up for me, or just into it to make a paycheck etc.
@TristanNuvo Our system is DEFINITELY fucked; you don't need to temper that claim. But to be clear, I'm not saying we should or shouldn't add a third party, I'm saying without proportional representation, you CAN'T add a third party.
A common misconception about lawyers, on either side, is that they have some kind of choice in defending or prosecuting to the very best of their ability, regardless of their personal feelings. Like doctors, they have a Duty not to judge!
