Does anybody else actually 'like' wearing a face mask. I tend to suffer from dust allergy and having a mask on when out, to filter and slightly humidify the air actually makes me a lot less uncomfortable when walking round town.

I don't enjoy it, but there are many social benefits.

People can't see how ugly I am for one.

It's starting to feel like my binkie.....

I'm also allergic to dust and hayfever catalysts so only wear a mask when i'm around people, like shopping. I can handle the 15 or 20 minutes and it actually makes me feel more comfortable doing it. Fortunately, i do have a choice about if and when i want to be around people.

I like not being able to be identified. You never know who's watching you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

@PondartIncbendog Very droll. LOL

I rather liked wearing a face mask when it was cooler out - it kept me cozy warm. Now in summer, I find it less comfortable. But that's just the physical aspect.

There is a social aspect to it, too! And I'm not talking about the curious political divide here in the States, (that deserves its own analysis). I'm talking about facial expressions, and all the nonverbal communication that face masks sabotage.

Sometimes, I enjoy this sabotage. I'm shy and private generally, and masks are great to hide behind! Other times, I really miss those small facial expressions by which we acknowledged each other.

Really not that big of a deal. I've been wearing them for years when I mow the lawn to avoid the dust and pollen that gets kicked up. Strange that people have full blown meltdowns over having to wear them but have no problem taking off their shoes at the airport.

I wish there was a mask that covered my eyes so people couldn't see me rolling them!😏

Not a big deal. It is certainly better than wearing a hospital gown or coffin.

I find Wearing a mask is uncomfortable in hot weather and humidity ,but I make sure I always wear the superior N-95 mask .Safety must over ride comfort in situations such as this .

Up until the recent pandemics in Asia, masks were worn because of the air pollution not for infections, they were used to prevent or so they think keep the fossil fuel air contamination from being breathed in!!!

They can make you feel very hot and heated around your face, hence feel uncomfortable!!!

The cloth masks tend to have this heating problem!!!

The paper N95 masks are not too bad as long as you do not have to wear them too long!!!

Although wearing anything on 100+ degree days isn't really comfortable, I've gotten accustomed to masks so they don't bother me like they did initially. "Like" may be a stretch.

I have resting bitch face and the mask means I don't have to plaster on a fake half smile for other people's comfort.

I think it's great not having to smile. JK

I don't mind wearing my mask in public spaces indoors, and though we are not required to wear masks when walking, exercising or biking alone on a path, I'm often glad I have my mask in my pocket for the gnats! They come out a few hours after a rain, and I'm happy not to get them in my nostrils and on my lips!

Wearing a mask doesn't bother me at all.. I don't like or dislike it... 🙂

No... can’t say I like wearing a mask. I do it because it makes sense, when in confined spaces with other people. Personally I hate seeing people’s faces covered up and look forward to a time when masks can be dispensed with again.

Dust allergy is hard to deal w it 🙁. I am sorry . Are there any inhalers for breakthrough or meds u can take ?

Its very mild, may not even be a true allergy, just a bit of pepperiness and sniffles when the air is dirty, So no, a mask is good but in youth I suffered for a true allergy, so I know the side effect of the meds and would not go back to that again.
