Yesterday I received a solicitation from somebody calling themselves "Stop-Rrepublicans.org". It looked like a plea for donations from the D.N.C. or maybe "Act Blue" and the title was "Tragic Loss, Trump wins". They quoted the latest "CNN poll" saying Biden now leads by only one point, so I better send a donation. If I would send $5.00 it would be amplified 500 % Please don't fall for it if it comes to you!Tragic Loss: Trump wins. <admin@stop-republicans.org>

David - we're gonna be sick:
We believed with all our hearts that Good Democrats would step up to end Trump’s Presidency during the Democratic Convention.
It’s devastating how wrong we were!
• Joe Biden PLUNGED in the latest CNN poll - no one donated!
• All gifts are 500%-Matched - STILL no one donated!
We'd honestly cry if we failed to hit our strict fundraising goal: $1 Million by Thursday. But sadly that's what will happen if Good Democrats don't donate to this email.
Make a 500%-MATCHED donation and we'll wire it straight to our ELECT BIDEN VOTER TURNOUT ACCOUNT.
500%-MATCH: $5 →
500%-MATCH: $25 →
500%-MATCH: $50 →

I get about 5-10 emails a day like this because i do send money to a couple of political activist orgs. If you have not carefully vetted a group., send Nothing, just delete or toss! And Act Blue is a clearing house for donations, sort of like Paypal, not something you can rely on as an endorsement....Google the actual name of the org, Real money-gathering orgs are highly regulated by the Feds! Also word gets out on Google pretty quickly
I just Googled this group & they appear legit! They even have a phone number you can call at the bottom of their webpage....you could call & ask what percentage of their intake goes to their stated goals, vs. how much for "administration". I believe Federal law requires them to tell you if you ask!
Thanks for the tip. I have contributed to Act Blue. I had no idea.
