For all my health conscious folks do you prefer to juice or blend your fruits and vegetables? Why do you prefer one over the other?
I was a farm kid, so I prefer my fruits and veggies as they came out of the ground or off the tree. However, if I have nothing else planned and have time to sit on the toilet all day, I will go for a fruit or veggie smoothie.
Juice is just too much sugar. Eat the whole fruit or vegetable for the fiber and nutrients. Juicing expels all of that. Blend if you must (smoothies can be truly awesome!) but raw or lightly steamed is healthier.
TRUE...I am a diabetic and my glucose levels were over the top when Juicing. My son has Juiced for over 5 years and he said he feels great, never gets a cold or flu, and has loads of energy.
Like some veggies raw and the littl fruit I eat au natural.
I tried juicing for a short time, but, then found what gets lost is the fiber which cleans the colon. Also, I think I recall that fewer nutrients are absorbed because of shorter transit time(?).

Blending. I don't believe in wasting food. By juicing you are throwing away all the fiber.

I have to control my carb count. It is way too difficult to do that by drinking juice.
