To answer your question, it is an attempt by the cognitively challenged to commit moral blackmail against those who can and do use their brains.
That's what I said.
Oh, FFS!!
Talk about emotional blackmail.
Another reason to hate fucking religion.
I mean, the angel was supposed to guard that baby. He fucked up. Nobody else should feel bad.
Propaganda by religious assholes who want to eliminate women's control over our own bodies.
Somebody call the Doctor. And remember, they can't move if you are looking at them.
Much appreciated!
Don't blink.
A fool dressed as an angel vomiting in a collection box...
I just don't understand these people. They act like if you just make abortion illegal that's going to magically fix all the problems. What will really happen if you make abortion illegal: women will die along with their fetuses from having illegal abortions; women who are trafficked will have their newborn babies thrown in dumpsters by their pimps; women who are addicts will be giving birth to babies who are severely affected by drug use & IF they survive will face life-long health issues; more children will live in poverty & face abuse and/or neglect because their parent cannot adequately care for them. I would think that if you truly cared for the suffering of children you would not want these kinds of things to happen to children. If you actually want to reduce the number of abortions, how about fighting for women's rights? How about advocating for free birth control? How about advocating for ALLOWING women to have sterilization surgery if they actually want it? In Kentucky, you cannot have sterilization surgery unless you have at least 2 living children. Why does government have the right to tell me I cannot get that surgery if I want no children? Why is sterilization surgery not covered by all insurance? I'll tell you why - because these people want to CONTROL women - it's not about the children. If it were, people would be raising hell about all the abused & neglected & homeless children in our country instead of just shrugging their shoulders.
@Green_Soldier71 I know it does, it just makes me so sick of humanity. Why can't people just be logical?
@1EarthLovingGal I know. It's disgusting. You can't reason with people. A member of my own family that can't have children spends her time "being angry at God" because he won't "let her have children." When I point out all the abused children that need homes, she doesn't want to do that because it's not "her own child." Like wtf? And this shit has to be deeply biological, because I sacrificed my own hopes & dreams in my youth just to be a parent to her because her own parents wouldn't & she's too full of herself to do the same for a child in need & feels entitled to be "angry at God" ?!?! I did not teach her these things - in fact, I worked HARD to teach her the opposite. It just makes me feel there is no hope for humanity - we cannot overcome our biological programming - we act like so many other species. They kill members of other social groups in competition for the same resources, or kill the infants of a group when a challenger displaces the dominant male. We're no different. And I have no idea how to just accept this as fact - because if you bother to read any history or study animal behavior it's obvious that it is a fact - we are doomed to repeat our mistakes over & over ad nauseam for as long as our species survives.
Indeed quite a sad commentary on today's world. As this world becomes even more overpopulated with homo sapiens the rest of the earths life is being starved out. If random sterilization of 9 out of 10 women and men would be adopted it would only take 40 years to balance things out. Unfortunately this will never happen, and humans will be lucky to still be around in 2120.
@Mastrof3d Well, it would be immoral to forcefully sterilize people, but if insurance would just cover it & actually allow people to elect to be sterilized without imposing a minimum child requirement like they do here in Kentucky & set up clinics in poor areas & nations to perform procedures, a lot of people would voluntarily be sterilized - especially in nations with no access to birth control for the poor.
@1EarthLovingGal It's the same here (Australia). It's so patronising and patriarchal to tell an adult woman 'she may change her mind'. Someone went to court over it I believe... I'll see if I can find it.
Edit: Can't find it. I remember she dealt with a lot of online abuse so maybe she had all mention of it removed.
So the angel's job was to protect the baby that was aborted. All that suggests to me is that the angel wasn't very effective at doing his job. I would've thought angels would be more useful than that given that they're magical and divine and all that sh-t.
I guess not.
These religious cretins are incredible...they should spend time and effort not abusing the children that have been born!
A drunk hippie with wings puking into a laundry basket?
Guess they were crap at being a guardian angel then. If the sky fairy is all knowing and all powerful it could stop this from happening. But then more pregnancies end in miscarriage or stillbirth than are aborted each year so I guess the sky fairy does not care. It looks like a drunken angel hanging over a rubbish bin probably about to throw up.
