MIT sleep monitor can track people's sleeping positions using radio signals
It uses radio signals bouncing off your chest and belly to analyze your sleeping position.
I used something like one of those at home 6-7 years ago when I got a new sleep apnea doctor...monitored my blood oxygen saturation as well. A boxlike thing around my neck, laying on my heart area, and a finger sensor for the oxygen %. Why would you need fancy equipment to know "position? Run a camera overnight!
IMO never go to a "sleep lab", get sleep info to your doctor from real conditions in your home!
And it is good to know for.......?
. . . in the first paragraph :
"It could be used to track the progression of Parkinson’s disease, for instance, since people with the condition lose their ability to turn over in bed."
@FearlessFly i have slept 100% on my back for 25+ years, since various surgeries made it mandatory. I have a Purple mattress, No pressure points & not swelter-y like memory foam, a damn fine product...I wake up exactly where I laid down.
