(We are all energy.) Scientists say the “soul” does not die.
[curiosmos.com]
We are made of matter and energy. Matter has mass and is basically the stuff we see when we look at a person. Energy, when it applies to people, is what makes the matter work. We have energy in our bodies that allows the matter to do what it needs to do to allow us to live. Simply put this is what we are.
Now, when we die what happens. The matter stays matter but ceases to function as it had, it stops working and returns to its elemental form. We get buried and return to the Earth. The energy goes somewhere, this is the normal idea people think of, but where. Energy travels at the speed of light, that is one of the specifications of being energy. At the speed of light time and space cease to exist for the energy itself. It goes into the Universe, if there is no local forces keeping it near the Earth.
Now, if there is a manner in which this matter or energy comes to be another person, then it was because the matter that was buried getting its position back into a human body. The matter could go from coffin, or whatever other place, to be included into some form of food what is then eaten by someone. That matter could come to be formed into some molecule which becomes located into some other body, or not. It could just sit there in the Earth. The same happens with the energy, it can be said to go somewhere, but we could not track it.
So in theory the picture above is correct, but the form of it is false. Once we are dead we cease to have a bodily form, the body is cremated, in a coffin, or eaten by birds or worms. The energy would be quarks and gluon. Quantum Wave Fields.
Now one can believe whatever they want but according to the laws of Science this is what happens. Forget having any control of a spirit that goes somewhere, unless you want to think of energy existing in a world with a consciousness of its own. Which is impossible.
I have comment before in other simular post that to me soul is an older word but simular word for personality.
If we are all energy it says, What requires our "consciousness energy " to be stuck in our brain structure?
We can "think" our body parts into movement. Can we "think" our cognition capability to leave the brain structure and still have thinking capabilities? Like an out of body experience.
Damn this is some funny crap! When articles sight "Scientist and Researchers" and do not actually say the hell who they are takling about is really bad. It is refreshing though. Usually when they do sight their "Scientist" they work for some religious creation science and you find out the guy ( why do the religious still only sight men?) Has a PHD in something like bullshitology, or is a dentist! I skimmed across the article somewhat but had a hard time as all the astrology pop ups made it difficult. Of course as soon as the pop ups appeared I knew it was going to be a load of crap.
It WAS funny, wasn't it? As far as actual facts, though...you might have gotten more facts from the pop ups. (They did cite the researchers further in, though, and even provided some reasonable-sounding quotes.)
@AmyTheBruce My bad for not looking into it further, but I did indeed waste at least 30 seconds of my life on this.
@MissKathleen Frankly, it is rare thst I do not read an entire text. I often have people comment on my videos by title alone. The sad thing is I often do satire. It becomes very obvious who commented on the title rather than the video as the comments are very often completely out of context. I have noticed this trend in almost every social platform I use. Sometimes it has been so bad I simply called them out and suggested that they bother to watch the video. To my surprise some of them have actually done it.
Just a few of the many questions about souls. If there is a soul, where does it reside in the body and how does it interact with the body? If it doesn't interact with the body, what use is it because it then can't develop or change and if it does interact with the body, where does that happen because for all the measurements and research that's been done, there is no sign of it. The soul is a concept which is necessary for religion. If you can toss religion out, then this is detritus that should go out with the bathwater.
I have a "theory" too!
When I light up the wacky tobaccy, it doesn't disappear. It lives on as smoke and then as dissolved gas in my blood. Later it finds new life in my urine! Ahem I mean that it was ALLEGEDLY in my urine.
I think these "scientists" need to lay off the wacky tobaccy.
I see a lot of assertions in the article, but not a lot of evidence.
I would buy "we are all electricity".........and that is like a battery. Eventually that goes dead.
Ok, where did they move to? "Soul", define please?
@MissKathleen
..do these Scientists Say Reincarnation Exists, and Consciousness is Contained in the Universe.
Seems they're confirming hindu beliefs (minus all the god idols, dieties and sacrifices) are true? There's no heaven and hell in hinduism but your energy and consciousness remains, giving rise to reincarnation? ...and therefore kids and adults remember past lives?
I do not dismiss reincarnation after reading other's experiences regarding past lives. ...especially Jenny Cockell's story.
...and this only after my non-belief in religion.
@MissKathleen yes an interesting article. Makes one think and as you say invites difference opinion and enquiring minds.
@MissKathleen yes the rest can draw their own views. The article in itself would no doubt bring about disagreement, interest, opinion for and against etc it's a good read though. Thanks for posting.
@MissKathleen That is my approach as well.
"Like others, I do not necessarily agree with articles I post. I post things I find interesting to see what others think, without trying to sway opinion."
