I've just picked up my new specs from the optician, 250€ (despite using the old frames).
However, I suspect my right eye has altered since last week's eye test. It's not too different, so I'll wait and see.
Have got them on the right way round Petter? Poor eye-sight is a bitch!
My eyesight is pretty good for long distance. The glasses are progressive, but mainly for reading.
They can make mistakes, says me wearing glasses since I was 11. Have them double-check, glasses usually feel "right" right away (allowing for getting used to the edges 9f a new frame, which is not the case here) or there is a problem.
I've just had a cataract operation ony right eye, snd it's well known that eyes can change in the first 4 months. My left eye was operated on 10 months ago and has stabilised. I shall therefore wait until next year for a retest. The new lens is only slightly off.
@Petter beware of headaches, your eyes use approx. 30% of your energy.
@AnneWimsey Television screens, too close, are deadly.
I've been getting my glasses made in China for $50 including frames and progressive lenses. They're made accurately, they get delivered to my home within two weeks or so.
I too have got some Great glasses on-line, with even virtual try-on from several angles, some for $25 delivered in a nice hard case........I like to co-ordinate with my outfits!
@AnneWimsey I need progressive no line bifocals so they're at least $40 with cheapest frames and shipping. zennioptical.com
