I wish i had a satanic pentagram necklace to wear at Walmart just to see peoples reaction . this reminds me of a time some Christian woman saw my brothers goatee and she said OH MY GOD HE LOOKS LIKE THE DEVIL!!!
Star shaped jewelry is very common, go get a necklace or earrings at Kohls or WaLmart, cheap.
Better to look like a devil, than act like a devil..lol
OMG yep!
I wear a lot of black and red, and I'm prone to satanic symbolism and jewelry.
My taste was defined by living in rural Alabama where wearing a Kiss T shirt was controversial and probably "evil."
Here in California, it doesn't lift an eyebrow.
It's bliss really.
We tend to take that freedom for granted, don't we? I'm sorry the Gay Pride parade's been cancelled. I've loved taking part--just to show support~
@LucyLoohoo I'm not sure I'm "gay".. like "gay" is confusing for me as an asexual transwoman. So I just call it the Pride festival.
@Willow_Wisp You're right, of course! It began as the "Gay Pride" event and I haven't caught up with any newer terms about the different concepts people bring. I'm just always happy to see the parade and the costumes and attitudes, etc. From now on...it's "PRIDE" for me, too! That's a lot more inclusive.
@LucyLoohoo It's ok, I'm not overly sensitive about pronouns, or verbiage. We all struggle to express ourselves and there's so many new words to know
@Willow_Wisp Willow, I'm so glad to hear you agree with me! There ARE so many new words and they often mean different things to different people! "WOKE" is a good example. Ask five people what that means and I'll bet you get five different responses.
The good news for me is that, 30-some years later, the PRIDE parade is still booming...still fun and still heartwarming to see folks safely enjoying themselves! I love my gay/trans friends and want to support them. I'll use any pronoun they prefer.
